i just thought of something.
If you created all minor league players instead of editing them will you still be faced with the editing limit

There's always a created player limit. I doubt you could create one whole team's farm system.

The only way to have a good roster would probably be just to put all the players in the right place with thier fake names and leave it up to whoever downloads to change who they want. That's what i'm trying doing with my roster but I don't have enough time to make it detailed enough.

hey chris nelson have you heard of this new thing we are trying
i believe votto started it but i am not sure.

one person edits the minor leagers of one team and then posts it on xbox live.
then another person will download the roster and edit the players of another team and repost it with a different name like version 2
we are planning to continue doing this until all 30 teams are edited.

i honestly think this is going to work and if you can be a part of it i think it will be helpful

That sounds somewhat promising, and I do hope for everyone's sake it works. However, I'm not sure about any involvement I might end up having in the project.

To be honest, editing rosters is what I enjoy most about these games, and if it's not something I can do like I've done in the past then I'm really not satisfied. For me, doing rosters is not simply just for enhanced enjoyment of franchise mode. As lame as it sounds, doing the roster IS where my enjoyment comes from.

Its just really gonna be bad if the inside edge D- glitch is affected in the rosters. Then you would have to start all over again.

this is kind of off subject but you said that you also edit madden rosters
is there any chance of seeing madden 09 edited with the new free agents, equiptment, etc.

Sorry, I do not currently own Madden. I wasn't happy with the lack of improvement to franchise mode in recent years, so I ended up selling it a few days after I bought it last August.

Madden 10 looks promising though and I'm sure I'll get it. I'll probably end up doing some rosters for it, even though EA appared to be much more consistent with their roster own roster updates as far as I could tell from various forums.

well, at least i'm not the only guy who has notebooks with rosters and notes i've kept...i edit rosters, and then i don't feel like playing.

...i was beginning to think i had some kind of disorder. glad i'm not alone here

I am a fan of your rosters..

I created classic rosters for NBA 2k9 and NFL 2k5 and will begin work on MLB 2k9 however...if there is a limit on player creation, classic teams are out of the question.

Is there a way to edit current player's names and replace them with classic names?

same here before the xbl and living rosters/weekly updates for madden days i would have to make my rosters as perfect as possible or i couldn't play. I even used to download Chris' rosters this past few and update them myself in between the release of his lol.
