This isn't being negative. It's stating the truth. We can't depend on them due to the past. If they prove us wrong then fine but not based on past problems. They did make improvements to the game but it's bad in certain areas. Thanks!

there is a limit to the amount or roster editing you can do (i think only 50) so chris has decided its worthless....and i definitely agree. 2k dropped the ball on this one. 2k8 imo was a much better game.

Anyone else get the message "You need to clean up your roster before you share it with others" after editing a players' name? Besides capping the editing of players that is the dumbest thing I have ever seen.

Uh, no. It was renaming a pitcher on the Angels AAA team to Rafael Rodriguez (his real name).

I think Chris Nelson should make the best roster as possible with the limits that 2k put on this year. Everyone is still playing this game, so we should try and make the best out of the situation and try and make a good roster file.

Count me as another one. It is often many many hours, if not days before I actually play any sports game I get... meanwhile I spend 2 weeks prior to its release planning on how to do the rosters.
My claim to fame? I started the most popular thread of all time on OS:
The Photographic Side of NCCAA11. It has now become an OS staple for several games.

I consider myself a roster fanatic as well. The lack of roster capability this year is a HUGE letdown for me. Not only that, but they removed the Super Baggy pants and Extra Long pants options (which makes guys like Jose Reyes, Felix Hernandez, Manny Ramirez, etc look like their REAL selves).

On top of that, the uniform options in The Show are pretty impressive (they even have the different color options for cleats).

Have any of you taken a look at what the MVP 2005 guys are doing with MLB 2K9 for the PC? They already have various uniform changes/corrections for multiple teams, Nike cleats with different color schemes, various billboard advertisements, etc.

There was some talk in one of the forums that there may be a way to convert a PC roster edit to the 360. I know they are working on an editor they haven't released for editing the PC roster file. Someone has already ripped the 360 roster file for converting to the PC. Now it's just a matter of whether or not someone can reverse engineer that.

When will game developers realize that roster editing and modding games is a MAJOR part of sports gaming...

Sports games by nature are dynamic. Especially baseball games.
