    Re: REDitor II [MLB 2K12]

It appears injuries can be added, but any team you add them to, random guys in the minors will have their names changed. It's a combo of Norichika for the first, last, and sometime first and last. What you have to do is use a franchise file, and then sim until right before the injuries. For my Cubs dynasty I made all injuries start on April 1st because I had trouble with the franchise freezing when I entered them when they actually went on the DL. Then I went back into my franchise and looked at the minor league guys who's name changed to Norichika and corrected them. You must use the ReEditor to correct names otherwise even more will be screwed up. So far there has been no freezing in my franchise and all the guys who I entered as on the DL are. The only problem is the game will freeze when you look at League Injury history. Not sure why but as long as you don't look at the injuries everything is OK.

Took some time to figure this out but it does work if you put some time into it. I did not sim an entire season so I cannot be 100% that it won't freeze during the year, but about 1 week in everything is ok. Just don't look at Injury History.

      Re: REDitor II [MLB 2K12]

ANy tips would help. I have the newest version of the Reditor licensed. I exported the "player" tab to .csv. I used microsoft works (I know, that is all I have at home at the moment, my office 2010 should be here tomorrow) and in works spreadsheet made a global edit just playing around to a franchise file.

I saved the file and imported it back into the Reditor. Then Saved that file.

Tried to open it on MLB 2k12 and keep getting damaged or unreadable. Any help? Can you actially export, make and edit, and import the file or does that always corrupt it?

      THanks in advance.

To do a simple global edit under Edit select Global editor, select the column you want to edit then in the value do a % or a + - what ever you want. If you want to edit just a select position eg. 2nd baseman, you need to create a new filter.

Here is the answer Vlad gave me about global editing when I emailed him back a couple months ago.

        Quote:

"Here is what you should do to achieve what you want. (i hope, you have Modder's Interfaces license, as it is required to complete the instruction):
        1) Create a new Row Filter with the only condition of Position field being equal to 2nd Baseman value (you should refer to the tutorial for the exact value, corresponding to the position).
        2) Apply the newly created filter.
        3) Open Global Editor, select the desired field and input something like "+10%" (without quotes). You can also use values like +20, -7, -33% to add/subtract an absolute/percent value.

So, generally, this is a powerful feature, as you can first filter anything by any fields and values, then apply any global editing to the filtered items".

Thanks for the reply. I have some testing to do. I was trying to globally edit by exporting csv file and then importing it after filling a column. I just ordered the modders interface last night. Once I get the email enabling it I'll give it a go.

            Re: REDitor II [MLB 2K12]

Ok. I have the global editor and have used it successfully a few times. Here were my steps...now the same steps I'm getting a corrupt file message. Any help is much appreciated.

Dragged file from Xtaf to desktop
            Opened file on Reditor
            Made Global edit
            Saved file
            Closed Reditor
Opened Resigner (anonymized file, resigned file)
            Dragged back to xtaf
            Loaded in game
            Corrupt

These same steps worked great the other day. Now, no dice. Corrupt.

            Thanks in advance.

All I use is modio, never have a problem.

Move your roster save from usb stick to desktop with modio, open with reditor, edit, save file, then open save with modio, rehash and resign, save back to usb stick, load to xbox.

That is what I do. I have been using super resigner. I'll download modio tomorrow and try it.

THanks. On an aside, hop into the MLB Today thread and grab a game if you have time.

Hopefully someone can find a fix or workaround to looking at Team Heath or Minor League Injury report because if you enter in the injuries with ReEditor, it freezes whenever you look at them. I had some guys recently get hurt and I cannot look at what their injury actually is.

Sort of frustrating when you aren't sure if someone should go on the 15 day or just take a few games off.

You should email Vlad any of your concerns and see what solutions he might have.

Does this also work with 2K13?

Can you remove an injury in your franchise?

So it works with 2K13 and you can remove players from the DL. Well, that is a very nice editor there

Can you move players around in a roster from 2K, like team to team before starting a franchise?

Yes you can move players from team to team but can't say it's any better than the in game editor for that. If you move a player you have to adjust all the lineups as well or it screws things up.

There is a free version to try out but it's only good for changing player ratings etc. If you buy the editor it's a must to get both the "modders" and "My Friend" interfaces as well, makes it so much more user friendly.
