I did download the free version, just to take a look. I don't have 2K12 or 13, at least not yet. During my experimenting, I did see how you can move players around, time consuming, but it can be done.

What is the "modders" and "My Friend" interfaces? Is that just a more expensive version of the editor?

Oh, one other thing I noticed that is really good is ability to edit end of peak years and birthdays!

I see both interfaces but not sure if Guru amount includes both.

No the Guru just lets you edit mote stuff, modders gives you the ability to use the global editor and my friend has a user friendly interface. It's $8 extra for both.

This is so confusing. If you send the 20 for Guru, what interface do you get?

I do want to use that global editor. Modder fits me as I am one on another site, though I haven't done any serious modding in a few years. However, good to keep that 70-year old brain working

            Re: REDitor II [MLB 2K12]

I was able to use a hex editor on the latest 2K12 mkarsh33 roster and changed colors on the batting helmets (Cardinals red helmet on the road), Yankees (darker blue), and Astros (orange). I used the Reditor as a reference but can't afford the complete program. I could not figure out the on-field hats though. I had the batting helmet changed but when they took the field the hats would be the original color. Maybe in Reditor it would be easier.

In Reditor if someone would go in and change the team colors on the uniform tab to the correct hex colors, it works. Also there is a helmet tab. It does affect last names though.

If anyone is interested in going further with reditor, I will repost the changed roster (with mkharshs permission).

With Guru you are able to edit everything the editor will do but you don't get either Modders or MyFriend interfaces. Modders gives you the ability to do global and MyFriend is the interface that makes evreything easier to do otherwise it's like an excel file with only columns and such. So for everything I think it's $30.
When you have reditor open click on order now then you'll see the links.

If you are only buying for xbox then guru may not be necessary as certain things aren't as editable for example uniform colors.

Attached is the file I edited. Rehash and resign as it has a null ID. Play a game as the Cardinals and Yankees and you will see the new colors.

Also here is a link to all the teams hex colors:

Okay, thank you for the information.

When I was experimenting with the Demo, I tried to use my old Modio, but it said I needed to update, so I did, looks different. I have version 5.07 and didn't see rehash and resign. Will this newer version work as well as the older one?

You only see the rehash resign after you open a save. I have 3.0, only one I have used but I would imagine they all work.

Do you need Modio to edit a roster save from your own game? How about moving roster to USB, or copying roster to USB, and then load roster on computer, edit roster with REDitor, save and put it on a USB, and then load it back to xbox 360?

Anytime you edit a roster (even from your own xbox) with reditor you must rehash and resign or it won't load back to your xbox.

One other thing is that when you save a roster to a usb stick make sure you keep it named the same or it too won't load.

I am wondering how a player's rank is affected after editing.

If you edit a player that makes his overall lower or higher than what he has in the game, does the game "adjust" his new rank after the save is put in, or does it create a problem?

Yes you can mod colors, at least in a limited way, see my file on this page. You may be able to do more but I don't have the Reditor. I did this with Hxd.
