Thank you for responding. Have you guys finished doing the ratings updates?

It's not a big deal as I can do them myself. I care a lot about the righty/lefty splits so I almost prefer to do it myself, to a point. Although the March 26th file has some ratings changes that were very positive in my opinion.

After MKharsh posts I will finish the ratings updates

I have updated all of the pitches in all levels (except A, wasn't affected). I was kinda confused though because there were a lot of players that didn't need fixed at all on the teams I was told to fix.

Sounds good! I NOW HAVE THE FILE. I will work on it to get everything ready for the Official Opening Day file. Hang tight - we're getting CLOSER!!!

Bretsky can have it after I'm done. I've done some small work to various attributes, but nothing global. So he can have it when I'm done. We can watch for various trends as the season starts. I don't put a ton of stock into Spring Training stats for various reasons... Some of it matters, but not all of it.

Also, the file Bretsky started with was my last file from last year. So I did work on that and it was the base he began with. Wasn't perfect as I got burnt out on it, but shouldn't have glaring holes. If there's one thing I HATE about 2K is they rate nearly everyone too high. I don't want to see every player with a rating in the mid-70's or higher. Just shouldn't happen.

I'll get to work on this...

Have already started the process... Will take me some time. Created Preston Claiborne of the Yankees who makes the team out of the pen (from all reports). Give me some time - I've got a fantasy baseball draft tonight and want to watch some NCAA tourney games. But I've already got about 7 teams done and pretty much all the transactions. Hang tight...

I have went over every team and have the lineups and pitching staffs 100% correct as of this moment (March 30th - 4:30 am). I need 4 THINGS FIXED when I hand the file back:

1) Milwaukee outfielder KHRIS DAVIS has a messed up first name. It should NOT be "Norichika" but rather changed to KHRIS. I cannot do that because when I change it then Aoki's name gets messed up. Will need to be done with the REDitor.

2) Arizona 3B ALFREDO MARTE (who is on their AA team - Mobile Baybears) needs his primary position changed to RIGHT FIELD. Will need this done via the REDitor.

3) Indians AAA (Columbus) pitcher Matt Antonelli needs to be changed to MATT LANGWELL. NOTE: there IS a Matt Antonelli who plays for the same team - 2B for Columbus. But please use the REDitor to change the pitcher's name to the correct name.

4) Cubs AA LF needs his name changed from Albert Norichika to ALBERT ALMORA - He's on the Tennessee Smokies. Will need the REDitor to do so.

I hate to say this, but I'm finding this pretty damn frustrating. I've spent an hour just going over EVERY team and EACH minor league level. If you're not sure of how to use the REDitor without screwing this roster up, please let someone who does. Again, I may come off like a jerk, but this is not my idea of fun... I've had to re-edit this post 3 times because I keep finding stuff. I don't track everything I do in writing because it slows me down but this is frustrating. These were not a problem before ElSeniorLewLew took the file, so these mistakes were made during his editing. I recognize mistakes are made, but it's time consuming to have to go through the entire file, wondering what else is a mess... I believe these are the last of the mistakes, but I'm tired and seeing double, so this is it for me. I might suggest that DCNats take the file to fix these mistakes and then I'll get it back to finalize the final transactions.

I'm going to review some general ratings for certain players...

When this file is passed back SATURDAY NIGHT those items need fixed. Once it's reposted I'll then put it on 2K Share for the OFFICIAL OPENING DAY ROSTER file... NOTE: I believe "official" rosters for opening day must be submitted to the MLB office by Sunday - sometime in the afternoon. I'd like to review the file so any last second changes can be updated. (For example: the Red Sox are going down to the wire with their decision on Jackie Bradley, Jr. - mostly due to his service time and 40 man roster issues. My guess: they'll suck it up and put him on the active roster, figuring out what to do with Sweeney - stuff like this). Call me OCD, but I want this thing 100% accurate for the official roster... It's how I've done this the last few years I've been doing MLB rosters...

NOTE: Some teams are not going to carry their 5th starter to open the season (Texas, for example). Any team that is not carrying 5 starting pitchers will have their LONG RELIEVER in the 5th starter's spot. You will be able to tell those teams easily as I will NOT give them a long reliever in the pen.

I'll post this file late Saturday and would appreciate those items being fixed by someone with the REDitor - I'll let you guys fight over that.

Thats fine, I can do that. I want to update some of those mega deals too.

Also if anyone has any problems with a windup or stance, let me know. Other than that itll be a quick fix.

1) On Khris Davis in my roster file that I have it shows him as Khris Davis, I dont know if it got screwed up again when transfered. But your not seeing any other prospects you've created with messed up names? (besides the antonelli)

2) I didn't change anyones positions AT ALL so I didn't do that.

3) With the Matt Langwell I should have double checked that but I was trying to get done as fast as possible to give you the file back. My bad.

4) I posted earlier about that name. And before the file was released other people were seeing the same thing that I was seeing so I thought it was right. As I couldn't find him on the game either.

And just to make sure I'm not mad I'm glad you told what I did wrong so I know to double check everything even if I'm rush myself.

I did a quick count - of the 75 they have listed, I believe we're missing less than 15. I added a couple last night (Dahl & Hanson). I'll just others create their own from here. The beauty of this file is that each team has a sporadic number, so it's pretty good for any Franchise Mode. Thanks!

On these mistakes:

Thanks. DCNats has offered to take the file once I re-post it, so he can work on it and then re-post so I can add any finishing touches. You've done a lot of work so we'll pass it off to another.

Sorry if I came across as crass... But at 4:30 am I was tired & frustrated at what I was seeing. Those things were all showing up with my game in the system and a review of all the minor leagues. I ended up going over EVERY team, basing a lot on memory of what I've developed. Honest mistake... We're good... Thanks again for what you've done. I'm sure DCNats will be happy to add some things.

Also, last night I worked on those contracts of the newly given ones: Verlander, Posey, Happ, and maybe one more I can't recall. But double check them as the math might not be right. I tried to scale them down a bit - not the actual number value in real life.

I'll post a file tonight - not sure what time, but probably very late. Hopefully teams are getting their final stuff together.

DCNATS: Those 4 changes I noted prior are what I've caught, so I think you can fix those and we're good on that end. Thanks!
