I just joined the site and skimmed the over 100 pages of this thread. You said you tried using this roster with 2K13 but ran into some problems. I imported this roster as is to 2K13 and so far it seems OK. The only problem I have noticed so far is that some of the alternate jerseys don't have the correct textures assigned. Easy fix, I just choose another jersey. I am assuming these are alternates that were not in 2K12. Were there any other problems you had that I should be aware of? Thanks for all your hard work on this roster.

Are you planning on uploading this roster for 2k13 fear? If you could it would be greatly appreciated.

I just took mkharsh33's 2k12 roster from post #1315, rehashed/resigned with Horizon and put it in the 2K13 folder. That was it. I made no changes to the file other than the R&R.

Hey MK, I'd like your opinion on something. I think there might be some other people in my situation.

I want to start a franchise with these rosters because they're so good but I kinda feel guilty going in there with dynamic ratings, one example being Kevin Slowey at 89 - I don't think there's anyway that he'll keep that up. And I don't want to use an older roster because there's been many transactions/injuries/prospects updated since..

What do you think?

No the rosters MK produced use a "dynamic rating system" as if players are playing good they will be raised.

I understand what you're saying... But I only keep and work on one singular file. Here's my suggestion: just start a franchise with the official opening day file. Yeah, you'll be missing a lot of players, but that's where things started (though I'd also suggest that file is kinda worthless since it only had about 6-8 teams finalized).

I don't play franchise mode... I could care less about that. If I do play one, it's a Fantasy Draft one where I mix and match players and create a "New MLB" to play with (which is much more fun, at least to me).

Regarding Slowey: I think he should be given a GREAT deal of credit. Though his record is 0-2, he's pitching OUTSTANDING this year - in spite of the fact his team is a pile of crap (and to understand the Marlins, they just DFA'd Nick Green who is their leading batting average guy).

But Slowey in 6 starts has a 2.15 ERA. He's thrown 37.2 innings and has only surrendered 32 hits. He's struck out 29 and opponents are only batting .232 against him - and only 6 walks.

If those numbers go south, then he'll get lowered... Just like with the Blue Jays - sorry, but they've been HORRIBLE this year. Those pitchers probably don't deserve even the benefit of the doubt I've given them.

And another player of note: Josh Hamilton. Let's face it: he stinks this year. DREADFUL. Batting .214 with 2 HR's. 32 K's in 112 AB's. Only 6 walks and 1 stolen base. And what's worse: his slugging pct is .304. TERRIBLE. Again, if he picks it up he'll get the appropriate bump. But it's quite possible that this is where he might be for awhile.

I'd rather play a franchise with 2013 numbers than those based on fantasy land... I watched the Angels play the other day - Hamilton was first pitch swinging, and on top of that, his swings were half-hearted.

So I'll provide "living rosters" where the ratings reflect the season as best as possible. They won't be perfect because I'm only one person with a LOT going on in my life. But I'm happy to provide these for your enjoyment. And I think it's really cool that a guy like Slowey (for example) is having a great start and to see Hamilton get lowered because he simply doesn't deserve it. Each season is unique unto itself, and that's what I want to capture...

Also, next file will include Chris Colabello. AAA Rochester (Twins) who is hitting a lot of HR's... Probably won't have a major league career, but a fun addition for you Twins fans (all 3 of them).

Mark Montgomery - NYY (relief pitcher - AMAZING slider - some call the best - expect to see him in the majors soon)
Jeremy Hazelbaker - BOS

Chris Colabello - MIN

Will let you know when new file goes up. Moved a small handful of AAA players to their correct team, as well as giving some small ratings updates. File now has 31 newly created players since the opening day release.

Claiborne has been in the file for several weeks now. He will be with the Yankees in the next update, provided he stays there when I upload the next file. Regarding dynamic player ratings: that is your call. I do use them when I play because I enjoy the challenge they provide. But that's a personal preference.
