Remember when i said they can see your pitches better that basically what it means. Are you over throwing the ball or missing on accuracy?

Yes. That is how the tendency system works I believe. They are able to time or anticipate that specific pitch better. They rarely miss it if it is anywhere in the strike zone when your pitch tendency is red.

I rarely make a max pitch. Probably 5-10 times per game at best. With Paxton I probably do better than that. I don't think that is a cause to the yellow and red issue though. I say that because it does not occur with any other pitcher I pitch with.

I did just play a game where I gave Paxton 3 different fastballs and gave them equal tendency so as to have a fastball option a majority of the time. It worked "better" but the underlying issue still remains. I pitched 7.1 innings and most of the game all or nearly all of his pitches were yellow and red. Still had a nice outing only allowing 1 run.

From what I've noticed, if you throw one of your pitches that has a red tendency in the strike zone, you will give up a hit 90% of the time.

Not a problem with the guys' pitches that don't turn yellow and red within the first 25-30 pitches. But it is a struggle for Paxton! Lol.

First off I just wanna say thanks for the rosters everyone involved did an awesome job and I love being able to play a franchise with the 2017 rosters. Is there anyway you could do a "legends" roster or would it be too difficult?

I am 35 pitches in with paxton 1,4,5th pitches have been yellow since 2,3rd inn. 4th, 5th pitch gave up a hit 1,2nd inn. Cut is double green w 2 k's. Change has been yellow since 1 throw no hit given up yet, KNC is red# but yellow same as FB. I see what your saying and dont know why its doing what is doing but yeah its definitely messed up.

I noticed when you throw a strike it has no change but a ball is making the pitch red so that could have something to do with it?

It will turn red on strikes, outs, balls, anything. It is completely tendency dependent. I did a test and threw 4 straight fastballs to start the game and it was red. Green after first 2, yellow on 3rd, and red on fourth.

I've tested raising the endurance rating, durability rating, changing the cpu contact slider lower. I can't find a cause.

I haven't tested the composure slider though.

Im in bot 9th paxton still in 2 out 1-0 against my tigers. 7 hits for me 6 for them. Hes at 86 pitches ch is double red, sink is red # green pitch, cut double green 6k's, both KNC and FB are red# and yellow. Complete game finished 93 pitches 69 strikes.

I mixed up FB, SNK, CH, KNC and used the CUT for my out pitch.

I would assume his composure is whats effecting it, nothing to back it up but hes at a AAA starter with 65 and from what ive seen hes probaby a 70-75 easily imo he tore up tge tigers in real life in his outing, plus doesnt he throw heat like 97-99? Jw?

I think his FB and Snk should be 96 and his CH 88 just my opinion

Good stuff! Yeah he's exceedingly better this year. Fangraphs has him as a contender for the AL Cy young.

You were dominant with him! And only 93 pitches! Impressive.

Yep,v the biggest problem is that he throws 65+% 4 seam fastballs IRL. Sinker is irrelevant, less than 1%, knuckle curve 20-25% and a cutter that is 10 mph slower than FB at 10%.

So it's a struggle to pitch effectively the way he does IRL.

I did try editing hum to have all 3 fastballs equaling ~60% and he was much more effective but rated even higher because the pitches were all good pitches.

The issue is an odd one. I can't seem to find the cause so I will just probably figure a way to work around it.

They made a late run with 2 down, vmart hit a single to Rf and i threw to 1B and missed, he took 2nd. Jones PR and upton hit a single so runners on the corners and then i got avila to pop to center. Overall great game!

I told you even on hof custom my pitching ability is electric and i dont give up over ten hit very often. They got 8 off me with him and hes rated as a AAA callup composure wise so all in all not to bad imo!

Throw his sinker as a no 2 strike pitch mid high inside to RH hitters or right on the inside edge of the outside to lefties. Other then that its ineffective as he threw it with no command a few times no errors on the pitch either kinda wierd lol.
