    Dynamic Difficulty?

Could someone explain this to me? It's an option in franchise mode and it says it changes sliders based on the way the user is performing...sounds innovative I'd just like to know exactly what it does. Thanks.

    Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

It would be neat if the sliders evolved as your skills change. So if you start whooping up on the computer it would make the appropriate slider changes to keep games realistic, but I don't know if we can give them that much credit. I wonder if it just turns into some computer cheat where if you're up a bunch of runs you can't get a hit or something like that.

Does anyone know for sure? I've been wondering this myself.

supposed to make the game harder if you are doing real well, and make it easier if you are struggling. Haven't tried it myself.

Was curious about it so tried it on the first day. Does exactly what it says, moves your Player Options sliders around to make the game "harder". Alhtough it didn't move much in my case. In the process it's hard to remember what your sliders were in case you want to reset them to your values...

Don't know about you, but I prefer tweaking the game sliders myself, notch by notch.

This looks like something that everybody wants to try, but nobody wants to risk their franchise on if it doesn't work too well. And it will take some time, to see exactly what the effects are. Now who is going to be the guinea pig?

Wonder if it actually moves specific sliders

I had it on for the first couple games of my franchise but didn't really notice a difference. Maybe I just didn't know what to look for.

I'll start up a test franchise with Dynamic Difficulty on and see if I can figure anything out over the next week or so. I can't remember exactly what the description for said option says but I do believe it mentions it changing specific sliders based on your performance. It would be nice if a few more people do this as well. Results may vary and of course some of us will have different skills.

Would love to hear some thoughts on this option. I'm going to read up on it tonight. It's a great idea for sure.

                      Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

Well, I started a new franchise. I'm being the Orioles with the updated rosters and ditched my sliders thinking it would be easier to see a change otherwise. The option says it only changes the "PLayer Options" sliders.I've only played two games but I've seen NO change in the sliders (by going to options while playing a game).

Game 1: Start of the series against the Twins: I won game one 7-1. I had 5 homeruns, about 15 hits and I struck the CPU out 7 times.

Game 2: Second game of the Twins series: I won game two 24-0. I had atleast 14 homeruns, 33 hits and I struck out the CPU a few times.

I'll play some more over the next few days. Perhaps they adjust every series, week or month.

EDIT: I made a typo in my HR stat for the second game.

                        Re: Dynamic Difficulty?

I have played two more games. I still have seen no visual effect on the sliders but my stats shrunk dramatically in the first game of the second series. Given I was now playing the Yankees as opposed to the Twins but considering I did a lot better against Minnesota's Santana than I did against the Yankee's "Irvin" I believe there may be something to the Dynamic Difficulty. Based on this first game of the series I believe the slider changes are not visible but are not made until each series ends. I'll continue to monitor this throughout my test.

Game 3: Final game of my series against the Twins: I won the game 17-0. I had 8 homeruns, 22 hits and I struck out the cpu 9 times.

Game 4: Start of the series against the Yankees: I lost the game 3-7. I had 2 homeruns, just 5 hits and most surprisingly I was struck out 8 times. I believe I struck them out 5 times.
