    Batter Influence Slider

Can someone explain the batter influence slider to me? From what I understand from the small blurb on the bottom of the screen when you are on the slider, it affects how much the players inside edge ratings effect the outcome. I've noticed that some of the sliders here have it dropped to zero. Doesn't that mean then that every player on the team would bat the same, that there would be no difference between Albert Pujols and some relief pitcher?

    Re: Batter Influence Slider

I am experimenting with it now. It doesn't make all players equal. Pitchers still suck etc. With it at zero, the players ratings seem to determine everything. With it turned up, it affects how well or bad a player does depending on where the pitch is located.....their hot/cold zones plus their ratings. Probably more realistic. I am going to bump mine up eventually but not a lot.
