Reaction Speed Slider
After doing some testing it appears that the reaction speed sliders affect the quick transitions that fielders make from fielding the ball to throwing it. I've moved the sliders down to the 15 and 10 range and it now appears that fielders take more time, and get their feet set when throwing the ball. They don't do the crazy pick up and throw animation that is almost unrealistic. I think it makes the game even more realistic buy turning these sliders down. Anyone else recognize this?Tags: None -
Re: Reaction Speed Slider
Maybe it's just coincidence but it seemed to affect the field to throw transition. For example pitchers fielded bunts and got their feet set before making the throw instead of picking it up and flinging it over to the 1B in one awkward motion.Comment

Re: Reaction Speed Slider
Yea, I noticed this also. I just figured the fielders aren't moving as fast so momentum is not a factor as much. I don't know??? But it does make a difference in the way infielders throw the ball with planted feet instead of the spectacular Ozzie Smith plays all the time.PSN: PhiNuPi

Re: Reaction Speed Slider
I'm going to test this out tomorrow, but this seems like a good find. I would hesitate on changing the outfielder's reaction speed though, using heel's sliders, they seem about right on. But if it owkrs, I will definitely lower for infielder's. Good Find.Comment

Re: Reaction Speed Slider
I set my reaction sliders at 0 after my first game. I didnt like the "auto-assist" fielding that was in the game. The fielders take the first 3-4 steps automatically towards the ball even with this slider set at 0. It has no effect on reaction to a batted ball. It must be tied into throwing release speed. I havent noticed it, but all you guys have noticed it so I believe you.Comment
