    Puddy's 'Really Nice' Sliders, Try'em Out!!

    Hello, after playing, testing, tweaking several games for many many hours, I think I've come up with some decent sliders for those who want a realistic game and where pitching is a challenging and integral part of the game. I would like someone to give these a shot and offer any feedback, good or bad.

    I've been tweaking the game while using the good hitting, powerful Blue Jays vs mostly Detroit and vs the lowly Devil Rays. Note, these sliders were made using 'classic hitting' and 'payoff, breakpoint' pitching and have not been tested using the swing stick or any other pitch styles. As many of you I found myself hitting for power with too many HRS so you'll notice what I did with 'contact' and 'power' under player options.

    So, here they are, start off by setting your 'settings' to LEGEND then adjust from here:

    PLAYER OPTIONS (this is using 'classic' and 'payoff' pitching)

    CONTACT = 0 (I still get a good variety of hits)
    POWER = 0 (I still get home runs but more realistic)
    BATTER INFLUENCE = 40
    POWER SWING = 0
    STEP INFLU = 55 (i dont think this has any effect on 'classic' hitting)
    PITCHER DIFF = 100 (hitting good pitchers should be a challenge)
    BBA = 40
    BBFH = 30
    RBS = 70
    RSS = 60
    INFIELD ERRORS = 70
    OUTFIELD ERRORS = 60
    INFIELD SPEED = 50
    OUTFIELD SPEED = 50
    CATCHER THROW SPEED = 75
    INFIELD THROW SPEED = 20
    OUTFIELD THROW SPEED = 40
    INFIELD REACTION = 75
    OUTFIELD REACTION = 75
    FSBL = 65
    FSBP = 25
    FIELDING AGGRESSIVENESS = 50
    PITCHER FATIGUE = 35 (you must work the strikezone, throw a good mix of strikes and balls to get a realistic pitch count)
    PITCH INT SPD = 100 (this should make hitting your spots a little more challenging, but probably not challenging enough)
    INJURIES = 50
    PITCH SPEED = 60

    AI GENERAL OPTIONS

    INFIELD ERRORS = 70
    OUTFIELD ERRORS = 60
    INF SPD = 25
    OUT SPD = 50
    CATCHER THROW SPD = 70
    INFIELD THROW SPD = 20
    OUTFIELD THROW SPD = 45
    FIELD AGGRESSION = 50
    THROWING AGG = 80
    HIT N RUN = 50
    SAC BUNT = 50
    SQUEEZE = 40
    RUN AGG = 85
    STEAL SUCC = 70
    STEAL 2ND = 60
    STEAL 3RD = 50
    STEAL HOME = 40
    DIVEBACK = 50

    AI BAT OPTIONS

    INSIDE EDGE = ON
    TK STR OVERALL = 50
    TK STR AHEAD = 40
    TK STR BEHIND = 30
    TK BALL OVERALL = 50
    TK BALL AHEAD = 50
    TK BALL BEHIND = 40
    SKILL = 65
    CONTACT = 55
    POWER = 55
    BFH = 40
    PITCHER DIFF = 60
    EFFECT MOD = 100 (challenges you to max out your 'effectiveness')

    AI PITCH OPTIONS

    INSIDE EDGE = ON
    CORNER = 80
    CHG SPEED = 80 (LEGEND DEFAULTS TO THIS NUMBER)
    THR STR OVERALL = 40
    THR STR AHEAD = 45
    THR STR BEHIND = 50
    FATIGUE = 45
    PICKOFF = 45
    PITCHOUT = 50
    MEAT PITCH = 20

    Note, I know 'zone' pitching would be more challenging but I like the aspect of the 'payoff' interface so the sliders above are made with this in mind. Also, I'm letting my catcher call most of the game and am trying to hit the spots with maximum effectiveness as well as changing speeds and working in and out of the strike zone. If you do this, you should have a decent amount of strikeouts and will even occasionally walk a batter or two. You'll probably throw a few too many strikes but it ain't perfect. Also, you could trying raising your pitcher fatigue level up to 45 or 50, your pitcher fill tire faster but will make pitching more challenging.

    Anyway, give these a try and let me know if they are good, bad or in between. Thank you.
