Im getting too many hits but not many runs...

Getting in the 11-18 hit range but not many xtra base hits or runs for that matter (1-4 runs a game).. I have contact at 35-40 and power at 10-15 (have been playing with it). To get the hits down a bit but more xtra base hits, what do y'all suggest? I have most of my other sliders at default all-star with some changes in ai pitching to increase balls thrown.

"Not wonderment," he said when asked if he was surprising even himself with his hot hand in Virginia's 108-87 victory against Gonzaga on Wednesday night, when he scored a career-best 37 points. "I was just wondering why they didn't play more `D.

Try changing the power to around the 20-30 range. That should help you get more doubles & HR's.

I have contact at 35, and power at 10, and Im having the opposite issue.

Im looking at my VIP tendencies right now, and my offense is an absolute atrocity. Here's a breakdown of what I'm doing, and it ain't much:

      12 Games Played
      4 Wins, 8 Losses
      1.1 Runs per Game
      16 Runs Scored
10 Home Runs (way too many for 16 runs)
      2.1 Runs Against per game
      .160 Batting Average
      .229 Batting Average Against

I think I just suck, lol.

        Are you using classic?

You should work on your timing then. Although sometimes it just happens where you just get tons of singles.. However, usually, I can hit a double or two per game as long as your patient and get nice contact.

Also remember when you guys adjust sliders make sure you use the sliders for a few games (5 or so)

Man I must really stink. I have played 4 games. 1 bloop single and the rest strike outs. I tried contact at 75 and power left at 50. I tried both classic and stick but no luck. I am using the reds so you think I would hit a bit. I will try it again then this game is going back. Looks pretty but plays like crap.

I just got done shelling the Cardinals for 14 hits and 4 runs, which included a two run homerun by Josh Hamilton when the game was still close (1-0), and a couple of doubles by other players.

It's all about timing. It sounds to me like you swing to early, which makes contact go off of the tip of the bat, instead of the sweet spot. If you wait a little bit longer before swinging at strikes. You will pull the ball more, or knock it into the gap.

Also, my advice is to NEVER swing at the first pitch (assuming you lowered the CPU's pitching AI to 30-35 on first pitch strikes) That way you can work the count, and if you have a 3-0 or 3-1 count you will get better pitches to drive, instead of singles.
