DanSF49's NEW SIM Swing Stick Sliders (360)

Since I saw some of these new findings for the Hitting Sliders, I decided to make a slider set based on the Swing Stick. Now once again I do not use the Power Swing with these by pushing up. I just pull back and release. Do not just jump all over me for some of these sliders that are now zeros. Give them a try and see how well they play, especially the pitching and hitting sliders for Balls and Strikes. They will keep you guessing all game long. Feedback is always appreciated.

    Player Options
    Batter Contact: 65
    Batter Power: 35
(I believe the contact and power sliders need to equal to 100 to see the best variety of hits and accurate ball physics. If you want to make adjustments you can, just make sure it equals 100 when you’re done, so if you feel you need more power then make it contact 60, power 40 and so on)
    Batter Influence: 40
    Power Swing: 50
    Step Influence: 40
    Pitcher Difficulty: 80
    Batter Bunt Assistance: 45
    Batter Bunt for Hit: 25
    Runner Base Running Speed: 100
    Runner Stealing Success: 55
    Infielder Errors: 70
    Outfielder Errors: 70
    Infielder Speed: 20
    Outfielder Speed: 45
    Catcher Throw Speed: 0
    Infielder Throw Speed: 0
    Outfielder Throw Speed: 0
    Infielder Reaction Speed: 10
    Outfielder Reaction Speed: 45
    Fielder Speed Burst Length: 0
    Fielder Speed Burst Power: 0
    Fielding Aggression: 25
    Pitcher Fatigue: 35
    Pitcher Interface Speed: 100
    Injuries: 65
    Pitch Speed: 70

    AI General Options
    AI Infield Errors: 70
    AI Outfield Errors: 70
    AI Infielder Speed: 20
    AI Outfielder Speed: 45
    AI Catcher Throw Speed: 0
    AI Infielder Throw Speed: 0
    AI Outfielder Throw Speed: 0
    AI Fielding Aggression: 20
    AI Throwing Aggression: 70
    AI Hit n Run: 100
    AI Sacrifice Bunt: 55
    AI Squeeze: 35
    AI Run Aggression: 75
    AI Stealing Success: 65
    AI Steal 2nd: 60
    AI Steal 3rd: 40
    AI Steal Home: 20
    AI Dive Back: 55

    AI Batting Options
    AI Take Strike Overall: 60
    AI Take Strike Ahead: 0
    AI Take Strike Behind: 0
    AI Take Ball Overall: 40
    AI Take Ball Ahead: 0
    AI Take Ball Behind: 0
(With the Overall slider overriding the Ahead and Behind sliders there is no need for them at all. With the sliders setup this way you will see swinging strike outs and caught looking strikes in a realistic manner)
    AI Skill: 0
(I believe Baa7 said it best, the AI Skill slider is a built in CPU Cheat, so I came up with an idea to just eliminate it and see what happens. Well it plays very well with it at zero, not every ball left over the plate is hit into the stands or perfectly placed in the gap)
    AI Contact: 35
    AI Power: 65
(The hitting sliders for the CPU should also equal to 100. Right now these feel pretty good as the reverse of the Human hitting sliders; I may tweak these a little with AI Contact to 40 and Power to 60. But right now I am seeing very nice at bats and hits from the CPU)
    AI Bunt for Hit: 40
    AI Pitcher Difficulty: 20
    AI Effectiveness MOD: 85

    AI Pitching Options
AI Pitchers Use Inside Edge: On
    AI Corner: 55
    AI Change Speed: 75
    AI Throw Strike Overall: 35
    AI Throw Strike Ahead: 0
    AI Throw Strike Behind: 0
(This setting I love, with Overall set to 35 and Ahead and Behind at 0. You will see some great at bats if you are patient at the plate. The best thing about this setting is you never know what you are going to get, you may see a first pitch strike or a ball in the dirt. When the Behind slider is set higher then the rest I felt like every time I got to 3-0 they threw a fastball down the middle, you will not see that every time anymore. You will get 4 pitch walks or a pitch for a strike but it will not be right down the middle like it was before)
    AI Fatigue: 65
    AI Pickoff: 40
    AI Pitchout: 55
    AI Meat Pitch: 0
(I’m all about realism and when does the batter ever see exactly where a meat pitch is coming before the pitcher even begins his windup?? You will still get Meat Pitches with the setting at 0 but you will not see the ball icon pop up and show you its coming, which is definitely more realistic)

dansf49, love your sliders. i know these sliders are for swing stick but can we try to use this set for classic swing also?

I don't see why not, give them a try as is for the User Contact and Power sliders. If you see to many hits or HR's you can always just punch in the Contact and Power sliders you were using before and play that way. All the other sliders don't matter whether you are using Swing or Classic hitting.

wouldnt the AI take strike and take ball overall sliders mean the frequency of taking those pitches when the count is neither ahead nor behind? For instance

AI take strike overall setting is for 0-0, 1-1, 2-2 counts
AI take strike ahead is for 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, and 3-2 counts
AI take strike behind is for 0-1, 1-2, 0-2 counts?

Also, just one other question... Contact and power are two independent sliders,.. what is your reasoning as to why they need to total 100? Just curious. For instance, if someone sets contact at 10 or 20 because he is really good with timing, he should put power at 90 or 80? If thats the case, everytime he makes contact, I'm going to hit a rocket line drive..??

          What are your thoughts?

          Thanks!

            Dan,

Loved your 1st set of sliders...so I am gonna give these a shot..classic swinging though.

One question: what slider affects the Human pitching. I want to make a change to the Human pitching. I use payoff (I like it best) but don't feel that punished when I miss my timing. I want it punish me a little more if I try for a hard pitch and miss my timing and the aiming circle is too big. Right now, If I miss (and the aiming circle is middle size) its not that punishing.

            Any ideas what controls this?

            Nit

Hey I just played a game using your sliders:

I scored 4 runs off Santana in 9 innings on 8 hits. I thought the batter hitting sliders worked very well...

However, the pitching sliders made pitching far too simple IMO. I gave up 1 hit in 9 innings (a bunt single in the 7th by Torii Hunter), with Noah Lowry. The one set of sliders I keep searching for are ones that provide a challenge with pitching, but still allow for K's. I'm looking for sliders that allow the possibility of a shutout, but also the potential to give up 5+ runs with a starter.

Thanks for these sliders, though... I liked everything but the pitching.

Without using the power swing when hitting, is anyone hitting any homers with these sliders?

I only hit one homer, and it was with Brandon Phillips, and I did do a power swing.
