Do Players Use the Swing Stick Foul Swing?

Just curious, but do any of you swing stick players find yourself using the "foul swing" on any sort of regular basis?

Yeah. I do not use the "foul swing" much either, which is why I ask the question, but aside from not putting the ball in play, it really does not seem to help much. A contact "advantage" would make the foul swing more functional in game; whether or not that would be realistic is, I suppose, debateable . . .

well i would say it would be more realistic...it would represent the defensive swings players do when on 2 strike counts.

I NEVER use it, but like other posters mentioned it helps keep you alive. I think it might be good to use if you want to force someone to pitch into one of your hot zones. If you know where your hitters hot and cold spots are you could use the defensive or foul swing when a pitch is in the cold zone so you don't pop fly in play or ground out. Then hopefully the pitcher will make a mistake or challenge you and throw into your hot zone. Just a thought.

thats the correct way of thinking i guess...the only problem is that its extremly hard to make contact with that foul ball swing...i mean, you gotta time it perfect, and also it seems that it HAS to be a pitch in the strike zone. so if the pitch moves late, you will get striked out every time..casue this swing has no defensive contact whatsoever.

just pushing forward on the stick and not back first. Supposed to be a defensive swing but doesnt quite pull it off.

yeh.. the idea is very good.. and quite realistic i suppose...but they didnt make it right..its harder to make contact with it than it is with the power swing(not to mention that the power swing also produces a lot of foul balls)
i hope they fix this next year casue its one of those features that i am long waiting....
