    CPU Con/Pow and Pitcher Diff Sliders...

    I have been trying to find the best solution to help the CPU hit better and use the whole field as much as possible. Contact, Power, and Pitcher Difficulty sliders....I think the 3 of them may be connected in a way.

    I am using nnng's and xcell's sliders and I started out at CPU Skill 100, CPU Contact 45, and CPU Power 50 with Pitcher Difficulty at zero. The PD states that the higher the number is, the more difficult it is to hit good pitchers. While increasing the Contact and Power sliders, it will enable them to hit better but then it would be nearly impossible for us to get strikeouts and swing misses.

    What has come to my mind...increasing the Pitcher Difficulty by 5 or 10 would make it just a tad bit difficult for them to hit our good pitches.

    Does this make sense anyone? Hopefully it will work!

    As of right now, my sliders are the following: Contact 50, Power 55, Pitcher Difficulty 5

    Try using Zone pitching over Payoff. It's much more rewarding and realistic. I've been finding good success with AI Skill at 0, contact at 35 or 40, and power at 50 or 55. I tried moving up the AI Skill, and I've played around with all three sliders for hours. I have no idea what AI Skill does. The contact slider is specifically about contact, and it shows. Try turning off AI Skill, and just mess with a combo of the two sliders.

      Ok, I will try that too. I have tried zone pitching and I agree with you, I think it is the best way to go. I will try my solution first to see what it does, but if it's not working..I will try yours!

        Here are my sliders (ones of importance to get k's while allowing the cpu to get hits and score runs):
        AI Skill 100
        contact 45
        power 65

        AI take overall (strike and ball) 65
        AI take ahead (strike and ball) 70
        AI take behind (strike and ball) 40

        pitcher difficulty 20

        I am averaging 6-7 k's per game...for better pitchers, they sometimes pull off 10+...Also averaging 3-4 walks per game...

        Payoff pitching...key is to not give in to hitters...when the cpu is at advantage (1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0, 3-1), don't give in with a fastball on the corner...mix it up, even if your pitchers 3rd and 4th pitch suck...also, I can not stress changing the eye level of the batter...if you have been throwing low fastballs and missing the zone, move up and in or out...If you can get your hands on some pitching schemes, you can really have fun with payoff pitching...

        By the way, the cpu offense will absolutely punish you if go after them constantly...You will learn to throw outside of the zone with these sliders, because if not, you will give up 20+ runs and 30+ hits easy...
