Duh, I JUST figured out what AI Effectiveness Mod is.

Everyone else probably has already figured this out . The description reads:


"Move this slider to the right to increase the overall power of CPU hits when pitching with lower effectiveness"


I always took that to mean when your pitcher gets tired , the CPU will hit harder off of the pitcher but the words lower effectiveness are the key to that statement.

Lower Effectiveness- When you pitch and expand the reticule in either Payoff or Zone pitching, that sets your pitch effectiveness. So, if you just barely tap the button for pitch strength, or when you go full power, that is Full Effectiveness and this is where that slider takes effect.

I realize this isn't some breakthrough but at my old age, I'm happy to know I still have some reading comprehension skills.

your brain is still working...........this might be a game where they have too many sliders...they can be confusing.

Tell me about it... Just when you think you have one area of the game nailed with the perfect setting there's another that affects the previous ones you THOUGHT you had.

Well, some of the problem with that is you will make some adjustment, as small as it may be but then you play a different team and it basically wipes it all out. It is like each team is a different country and they all speak different languages.


I'm about ready to just turn on Dynamic Difficulty and/or Hot-Cold teams.

Thanks for the insight. I've been lowering it because my relievers would get rocked every time I put them in. I, like you, discovered recently, that pressing down longer and hitting your zone is more effective than the "safe, control" press. Therefore, I just learned how to pitch more effectively. This may require me to raise it again and challenge myself. So, you're not the only one learning new things as we play along.
