    LowerWolf's simple sliders

Everyone else posts their sliders, figured I might as well do the same.

I studied the slider settings at each of the default levels (rookie through legend) and then put these together. I want player ratings to have the utmost importance, and I came to the conclusion that a slider setting of 50 best reflects this. So I used 50 as a baseline. The vast majority of my sliders are set to 50, with just a few tweaks.

A few notes: I use breakpoint pitching. Zone just feels to clunky to me. I also use the swing stick since hitting is too easy for me with classic. I rarely power swing, though I will try to pull pitches and go the other way. I also turned fielder speed boost off, for no other reason than baserunners don't get a speed boost, why should fielders? My preference was to have the pitch camera behind the batter, but I found pitching became too easy, so I went back to behind the pitcher. I'm sure a lot of people will think these are too easy, but I'm pretty happy with them.

Player options: All at 50 except:
    Baserunning speed: 75
    Pitcher fatigue: 25
    Pitcher interface speed: 100
    Pitch speed: 75
(You could also set the speed burst settings to 0, but I left them at 50 since the speed burst is off anyway)

AI General: All at 50 except:
    AI run aggression: 75

    AI Batting: All at 50

AI Pitching: All at 50 except:
    Meat Pitch: 0

Played my first game in season mode with these. Beat the Phillies 4-3 in 10 innings. I had 15 hits - far and away my best hitting performance ever on this game. Held the Phillies to five hits. No errors for me, one for the Phillies.

Myers gave up a two-run shot to Andruw in the first and then dominated me. He had eight Ks before tiring in the sixth. Only had two Ks with Smoltz in seven innings. But Gonzalez got two and Soriano and Wickman one apiece in relief.

Most of my hits came off the bullpen. Johnson, Chipper and Thorman each had three hits; Andruw and McCann two; Renteria and Wilson one.

One thing that concerned me: I wasn't able to go from first to third or second to home on singles. Chipper got gunned down at the plate going from second in the eighth and would have been thrown out again in the 10th if I had sent him. Of course, he is a D+ speed. My team speed overall is pretty pathetic. Still, with two outs you should be able to score from second almost every time. Chase Utley did score from first on a double for the Phils.

Like a lot of people, I'm still tweaking a bit. I still believe that 50 is the rating where attributes come into play the most, which is what I want.

Player Settings - All at 50 except:
      Baserunning speed: 100
      Pitcher fatigue: 35
      Pitcher interface speed: 100

Computer settings (all of them): All at 50 except:
Batting skill: 100 (I'm testing this one out to see if I can jumpstart the cpu offense a bit).

        Just to help you out...
I tried the cpu hitting at 100 and there was no way that user strikeouts would take place at a realistic rate...You could get an 0-2 count and throw a pitch way out of the strike zone and the cpu will still make contact...it will be weak contact, but it is near impossible to get strikeouts...
One thing I've been trying along your lines of everything at 50 is to allow the hot and cold team option to be on...It actually helped get the cpu offense going, while still allowing realistic play...I had been on phenomenal win streaks until I turned this feature back on. Since then, I've been having realistic wins and losses...For instance, the last 20 games with the Rockies I am 8-12...Pretty decent since I am in a stretch where I am playing non-NL West teams...First couple of games I was 21-9, with a 9-0 start...So, you'll see that a 29-21 record is realistic(even though it is the Rockies) and enough for a .5 game lead...My other four teams are all on the same lines, except for Cleveland who is 7 games below .500(Sizemore, Sabathia, Byrd, Garko, and Blake are all injured).

Did you put just the "skill" setting to 100? I leave the cpu contact and power at 50, but moved the skill slider to 100.

I played my first franchise game with the skill setting at 100 last night. I didn't get a ton of Ks, but I got 4-5 with Davies and a couple more with my relievers.
