    Comments:

So has anyone given these a try yet?? Just wondering what your thoughts are on them. I have now played for about a week and a half and haven't touch a slider, they have been playing that good. Feels great not to fiddle with them constantly.

I played about 8 games with my Reds season with them over the long weekend.
They are a really good set, I do not use the power swing and I got really good results. The only thing I am worried about is I did not hit any hrs with anyone other then Griffey or Dunn. I dont know if it is possible to hit any hrs with an average hitter without using the power swing.

Its possible they will come, but it all depends on the the stadium, how strong the wind is and things like that. I noticed on windy days I hit a bunch of HRs.

question?? why is batter inluence set to zero??? I thought this was giving me more hit variety with it at 100. At 0 its all up the middle

I thought that too for about 2 weeks then realized that I wasn't seeing that much variety with it at 100. Also at 100 it makes hitting very easy, on the Rookie setting its at 60 and on Legend its at 30. So I tried it at 0 and found it to be much more realistic. You hit the balls your suppose to hit and miss the ones you can't get to. If you are late on a pitch you will hit it down the line the other way, if you are ahead of it you will pull it down the line.

Hey guys just one thing, I just realized I had posted pitch speed as 70 that was suppose to be 75, I have made the change in the first post. But if you like it at 70 thats fine also. I wouldnt go over 75 though.

What franchise settings do you use?

                Injuries, camera settings, etc..

I think the best way to hit the fewest homers is to have batting contact, batting power and power swing 0. Zoom up the hitter/pitcher camera view and bump up the pitch speed to 80 or above. That's what I am doing and am getting pretty good results.

                  These sliders seem pretty nice.

Mizzou, I haven't started my franchise yet. But for camera settings I use Zoom in on Pitch but I can't remember what zoom # its set at. I will look at it later on and let you know.

Excellent. My 360 just arrived today, just waiting for my Dell 24" widescreen monitor and the game to arrive and I'll be ready to go.

                      Thanks!

I played 3 more games last night with this set and again they are very good.
I got some very realistic hit and run totals. I won the first game 5-3, won the second game 4-3, and lost the 3rd game 8-5. My only two concerns with this set is the cpu only scores via the HR, the first 2 games all 6 runs I allowed where from 6 solo hrs. My other concern is the lack of HRS I hit. I have now only hit 1 2 hrs in the 8 games I have used this set. Again I use the set that does not use the power swing.

Jake the cpu only scoring on HRs thing I have seen in random games but not all the time. I played a game the other night Cubs (me) vs Astros (cpu) and the final score was 12-9 cubs, neither me nor the cpu hit a HR in the game. I then played A's (me) vs Yanks (cpu) final score was Yanks 6-4, but we both hit 3 HRs a piece in the first 2 innings. So I dont know if we can really change anything. As for your HRs, you can start by bumping up Human Power to 60 and try it. I had it on that setting for awhile and it wasnt to bad, just a tad to many HRs, but you might be happy with it. Let me know how it goes and glad your enjoying the sliders.
