Strikeouts, K's, Backwards K's, Whiffs, and the like.

I've tried everybody's sliders and tried my own and nothing ever seemed to really work out for me. So I went back to playing the game on default All-Star difficulty w/ Dynamic Difficulty ON and suddenly I'm having fun with this game again and having really close games. I bumped up USER Baserunning Speed and I'm getting extra base hits so that problem went out the window.

    However,

I can't K the CPU if I tried. Not if my life depended on it.

What adjustments can be made, without making any other drastic changes. to make them strikeout REALISTICALLY. I don't want 15 K's a game ... I just want some K's in the game, without drastically effecting the CPU's production.

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

That's the same issue I'm having. I'm done tinkering with sliders, so I'm going with default "pro" and DD on. Pro has too many strikeouts and I can't lose with the Red Sox (11 straight blow-out games now), but All-Star is impossible to strike the AI out. They'll make contact with pitches I inentionally throw outside the zone to try and get them to chase.

Yes, I couldn't play on Pro, it was just much too Easy. I like the game all-around on AllStar ... minus the inability to strike out. I made some really small tweaks to the Take Pitch Sliders in order to get them to look at a few more and be less aggressive, however, it's getting them to swing and miss that's been tough. I think it might have to do with the default AllStar AI Contact/Power being at 60/65. But I don't want to take two much away from them either. I might ust trying taking Contact down in increments of 5 and see what happens.

Put the batting AI on 30
        Put batting contact on 40
        Put Power on 60
        Pitch speed on 0
and the EFF slider on 75

The cpu will be hitting almost like human players on these setting.

This also allows realistic strike outs.

        This is just a suggestion.

Thanks a bunch, I'm going to try that out. Also going to have to see how this works out with the patch that got released.

            The 70-70-70---30-30-30 combo is nasty.
