My perfect AI pitching sliders

So after hours of play I love this game (I know I am on the opposing side of many). My only complaint (after the framerate fix was discovered thankgod) was that the AI pitchers throw way way too many strikes. Now I want to let you know I am not big on changing sliders much but I am big on realism. I have been tweaking the sliders for a bunch of games and come up with this.

Everything is completely default except

AI throw strike overall-34 clicks towards the right on the D pad when starting from 0

AI throw strike ahead-24 clicks towards the right on the d pad when starting from 0

I have become very selective and it makes me a much better hitter. These make the game play much more realistically and help a lot with AI pitch counts. Also, full counts, 2-2, 2-1 counts are much more prevalent as well. I have drawn a bunch of walks and just found it that I have to choose my pitches to swing at wisely in close game situations.

p.s. I play on the All-Star level as of now (hopefully soon I'll be good enough to play on legend and I will tweak sliders from there)

What's the default setting for the others? I've already moved every slider, so I can't I forgot what the default settings are.

Just hit the right bumper (iirc) that resets the sliders to default.

after some more games I realize I need to do some more work. I will let you know if I get anywhere

try moving all of the throw strike sliders to ZERO. That's working out for me so far. More importantly, lower the pitch speed slider to the point where you can easily spot pitches that are completely out of the zone.

Right now I am at

All-Star difficulty
AI throw strike overall-6
AI throw strike ahead-20
AI throw strike behind-30
AI corner-15

I am in the middle of a great game right now, up 4-3 in the 7th but just stopped to post because both starting pitchers are now out. Since i like the default user pitching settings all i did was use my tweaks posted right above along with AI corner set to 15. It was great, these might be here to stay.

Pitchers
Jared Weaver (me) 5 innings pitched 7 hits 3 runs 6 K's 67 pitches 20 balls 47 strikes

Phil Hughes (CPU) 5 1/3 innings pitched 6 hits 4 runs 5 K's 59 pitches thrown 12 balls 47 strikes

keeping in mind I was on the phone during about 2 innings and I was very un-selective at the plate this was great.

try moving all of the throw strike sliders to ZERO.

Throw just a tad fewer strikes. :wink:
