    CPU pulling starters too early...

I have kind of been letting this go until now but I just played a game against the Padres and they pulled Chris Young after 4 innings of 2 run ball. He only threw 49 pitches. This has happened alot in my franchise and I have just ignored it but this has to stop. What sliders do I need to adjust to have the CPU keep their starters in the game for a realistic amount of time? Right now I have the CPU pitcher fatigue slider @ 60, and all strike sliders @ 0 if that makes a difference.

common sense says it is the fatigue slider but if you drop down and play a minor league game the cpu leaves the pitcher in until his arm falls off if you are not killing him.....be it 49 or 120 pitches - they are staying.

What do I have to do up the fatigue slider because lowering it makes things worse. I dropped it to 50 for the CPU and played the Mets. They pulled El-Duque after 3 innings in which he threw only 34 pitches. I did score 3 runs against him but that is by no means killing everything he throws. They should atleast keep him in for another inning or two to see if he settles down.

I don't think fatigue has anything to do with it. I think it's more with game situations, such as runs and hits allowed. Unfortunately, I think the developers have the manager hook setting way too high. I've had pitchers get through 5 innings without giving up a run, throwing anywhere from 50 - 70 pitches, and fatigue at 50% or so get pulled in the sixth for giving up back to back singles. It was the same way in last years game.

Ya.. I agree, has to do with game situation.. it is kinda dumb sometimes when it happens though. My fatigue is set at 72. But what I'd suggest to you is up your pitcher difficulty or something thats not going to allow you to kill pitchers easily like you have maybe, which causes them to get taken out early....

I personally had it happen to me with my pitcher.. Wesatbrook I pulled after 3 innings! allowed 9 hits and 5 runs or something crazy like that, couldn't get no one out. Thing is, the next game he pitches, its 8.0ip and 2ER, I liked it how one game he was off, and anothyer he was good though

I will try upping the pitcher difficulty but Im by no means killing pitchers. When Chris Young was pulled he only gave up 2 runs on 4 hits through 4 innings. When El-Duque was pulled he only gave up 3 runs on 4 hits through 3 innings. Every time the CPU has pulled a pitcher early they have only allowed between 2-3 runs. If that is killing a pitcher in this game I don't want to know what it is considered when you score 8 runs in one inning off the same pitcher.

That's the thing, it would never happen. Especially if any of those hits were home runs. Unfortunately, the CPU takes those in to consideration even more. I know it's realistic for a manager to get a little uptight when the pitcher gives up a gopher ball, but it just seems too much in this game. I kind of have the same problem with The Show as well, even messing with the manager hook slider there. It's not quite as pronounced as it is with this game, though.
