    What's wrong with All-Star default?

I'm the type of guy who hates to mess with too many sliders, and if I do change them, I like to make the difficulty equal for the Human and CPU. I just got this game, and have played only a few games on All Star default. I have not won a game yet, but I am still getting used to the controls.

Is there any glaring issues that need to be addressed for both sides? Power? Fielder speed?

And what is up with no numbers (0-100) on the slider bars, it's almost impossible to compare the CPU and Human sliders, stupid.

Hitting for the Human player is messed up on default All-Star, you're lucky to get it out of the infield, and if you do, it's probably a pop up. And IMO the CPU has too much power when they hit.

I am the same way kind of. I just feel like I am cheating or it just isn't as satisfying to me if I play with even a single moved slider. So I play default.

I am at the all star break now and this is what I see.

The CPU rarely if ever throws anything not a strike.
The CPU is always perfectly positioned.
The CPU hits the ball very well and rarely right to any of my fielders.
I the human hit routine fly balls constantly and rarely into a gap.
The CPU fielders are a LOT faster than mine and them not reaching a ball is rare.
The CPU hits homers with unrealistic players. Like Pitchers and slappy's.
        The CPU NEVER steals.

I struggle to play at 500 and hover 2 or 3 games below and rarely get over it. My stats are very realistic , but the CPU is not so great. Pitchers batting 300 for example. A Roid hit 56 homers so far at the All Star break for the Yankees and is batting over 350. I think he will hit over a hundred easy at this pace. Many crazy stats. I think Adam Dunn had 46 homers at the all star break too.

this has NOTHING to do with sliders. And I have NEVER heard of stats that that. You must be making it up.

It's the meatball pitches that makes this game impossible to play at default. The CPU will wear you out if you make a mistake pitch.

Pre-patch, but I'm pretty sure they didn't really change anything gameplay wise except for the framerate.

Man they have addressed much -- we know (2k stated) they addressed frame rate and lag and will come out with the complete set of items addressed as soon as they get approval. So we know its more than just framerate - plus I and many others here have noticed difference - especially things like balls/strikes, pitching, gap shots, etc.. And the slider settings themselves now result in different custom settings.. So much has changed..

Ronnie over on the 2k boards pretty much confirmed the ball being hit in the infield holes too. Pay attention to how many balls are finding the holes. I've had to adjust my infielder reaction because at zero (prepatch) everything was finding the hole after the patch.
