DanSF49's "The MLB Experience" Sliders

I'm back with a brand new set. I've put a lot of time thinking of new ideas and testing these sliders over and over again and what I have come up with is the best set of sliders that I have ever used. These sliders will give you the true MLB experience you will see line drives, bloop singles, seeing eye singles just past infielders gloves, doubles right down the lines, pitching duels and most of all fun. I'm actually amazed at how good this game is playing right now with these sliders. I was actually considering getting a PS3 just for The Show but I figured I would spend a week or two working on a slider set for 2K8 that would keep me from having to spend the $500 on a new system and game. Well I have found the set that has saved me the money, every game feels different and will give you different results. You will have a game thats 12-8, then a game thats 2-1 and then a game that is 5-3. Give these a try and let me know what you think.

I started these from the All-Star difficulty level, but I dont think it makes a difference.

Fielding Camera is Pole with Keep Fielder in View turned OFF.

Batting is Wide and the Zoom is 15 clicks from the left.

Well for you since you are "patchless" I think you are going to have to test these new AI Take Sliders since I dont know how they react without the patch. But with the patch what I have found is with the AI Take Overall set to 100 they were taking way to many pitches. Now with them set the way I have them, I see the AI come up there hacking at the first pitch or taking 3 in a row. Its a nice mix and really makes for some great at bats. In the last 2 games I played I had a 13 pitch at bat aganist Prince Fielder which I ended up walking him and then last game I had a 12 pitch at bat aganist Brian Roberts in which he ended up striking out on a curveball.

Guys I put in the wrong # for Total Control Pitching it should be 85 not 80. I made the change on the first post.

I love these except for the contact. I had to turn these down because the AI and myself were both averaging double digit hit games over 5 or six straight games. I took the contact down to 60 and it's more realistic for me. I might have to adjust the human side up 5 or so, but I need to play a couple more games to see for sure. I'm digging the rest of this set a lot.

Thats pretty funny because I played about 5 games last night after I posted this update and I have a spreadsheet where I keep all the stats to see how the average out. I think I'm going to have to adjust the contact setting also and maybe human power. I'm going to try some stuff out and let you know what I came up with. Glad your enjoying them.

So far 60 contact for both is feeling pretty solid. Power feels about right but might need to come down very slightly. I just wish I could get someone besides Soriano, Lee and Ramirez to hit a homer. I don't want to up the power because these three will go nuts. Fukudome actually hit one the other night and I was thrilled. Definitely post what you figured out.

Great sliders man! I am the Detroit Tigers right now in a chise and I am 5-4 and have had close games and a couple of blow-outs and all kinds of fielding, pitching and hit variety! Great work again.
