    jbrown's sliders

I am new to this website. I thought it was great. I used all the sliders posted here and did not get quite what I was looking for. So I am going to post the sliders that I have found to work for me. These are sliders that I have worked on for 105 games. The biggest change from all the other sliders here I think is the Pitch speed which for me at 50 makes it easier to take balls which in turn makes more walks and long pitch counts.

Hey jbrown, i am very interested in these sliders and will for sure be giving them a try. I really really like how you put in there that you do not use the left stick. I never use it and will never use it so thank god someone out there has these sliders out, thank you. 1 thing tho, do you use total control hitting and pitching?

And Remember if you decide to use my pitch speed it will take you about 10-15 games to get the timing right. It did me. I was swinging rediculously early for the first 5 or so games. But I like the pitch speed once I got used to it. I still strike out a good bit too. Sabathia got me for 9 k's(2 of them looking on back door stuff). But if it is too slow just bump it up to what is comfortable to you.

These settings are intriguing, in particular because I rarely use the hit stick myself. How many times is the AI walking you, and how many times are you striking them out in general per games?

The AI is walking me about 2-3 times per game on average. I have games where the only walk is a IBB to Ortiz and I have games where I get 4 walks. It usually depends and the quality of pitcher I am facing.

I strike out the computer usually around 6-7 times per game. My last two games I played I struck out 9 with Beckett in 7.1 innings and then 5 with Lester in 6.0 innings. He was getting shelled (playing against the Tigers) so I had to take him out an inning or so before he was tired. He gave up 3 HR's for 5 runs.

Sounds as if you are getting some very realistic results. I'm going to give these a shot tomorrow if I have time.

Hey JBrown, you still using this same set of sliders on your first page? Also wondering with Batting Pitch Influence Slider set at 30, your getting all your homeruns at a realistic rate without touching the left influence stick?

p.s..... Do you EVER touch the left stick?

I don't ever touch the left stick. After the roster update I have noticed a very steep decline in HR's with my sliders. So with that said I am going back to the drawing board. I noticed with the Batting Pitch Influence Slider, the lower it is the easier it is to pull outside pitches, hit inside to the opposite field, lift low thrown balls, etc. That is why these sliders did work without using the left stick. But when I finish test more combinations I will post again.

Ok man sounds good, I hate using the left stick and i try my hardest not to touch it, I have my pitch influence at 75 so I will be being that down to about 30 also, would love to not have to use that left stick anymore

After the roster update or patch? I thought these were post-patch sliders, and I wasn't aware that a roster update had any effect on the game other than adjusting the rosters.

Yeah I thought they were post patch to and I am currently trying them. I modded my old sliders which I was pretty happy wit. Are you telling me that these were pointless for me to even use?

These actually look a lot like mine. I noticed that you had gesture recognition at 100 (same as me). I might actually give these a try!

Let me know how they work out. I have gesture recognition at 100 because I wasn't throwing enough accidental balls. This helps.
