    CPU vs CPU Sliders?

I started a franchise (Brewers) and ran some CPU vs CPU games. I'm trying to find sliders that will produce somewhat realistic results w/ CPU vs CPU. I can get VERY different results in how the OTHER team plays when making adjustments to sliders, but no matter what slider settings I use, the Brewers always play the same.

I'm wondering, in a CPU vs CPU, does the game pick AI sliders for both teams?
If so, I'm not seeing any difference in the how the Brewers play no matter what sliders changes I make to the the AI sliders.

Does the game choose user sliders for your team even with CPU vs CPU? I doubt it. And the User Sliders seem to have no effect on CPU vs CPU (which is what I would expect).

Could there be a code problem with sliders when having the CPU play the CPU?

It seems like, no matter what I do, the brewers will only get 2-5 hits a game and may score, at most, 1 run. After about 3 weeks of games, I had one Brewer with a .250, a couple around .218 and most below .200 and JJ Hardy was at .065. It seems I get these kinds of results very consistently with any kind of slider settings. The only way I can get the Brewers to hit is simming games. Then the stats look good.

I can get the other team to score very few runs or a ton of runs by changing the AI sliders.

Has anyone else tried to get CPU vs CPU sliders? Any success?

    Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders?

check the 2nd page of the slider forum. I tried for weeks on end to get help with CPU vs CPU sliders, and I believe there may have been 2 replies on that thread other than myself. the sliders I came up with were pretty decent, except no one seems to know where to find out exactly what EACH AND EVERY SLIDER affects. unlike NBA 2k9, the developers decided not to give us this information. the only things my sliders are lacking is more walks. I haven't run a game in about 3 weeks, and i know there are more CPU vs CPU people out there than just me. check out that thread and see what you can make of whatever adjustments I made, because I've just given up.

^Hey dawg, is it possible to post some game summary stats that you've watched, like how was the success of homers, or doubles triples stuff like that?

how are your walks per game, because that seems to be where I got stuck. I would get on average 1-2 walks per game between the two teams. other than that, I have no problem with the sliders I had. I will probably try yours just to see what i get. haven't actually loaded the game up since mid may.

LOL....I tried lowering EVERYTHING just to see what would happen...the pitches would "float" to the batter like it was a whiffle ball. hilarious. BTW, I'm still getting 1, maybe two walks per game from BOTH pitching staffs. the AI for the hitters is still, even after being patched, too aggressive.

Are there any sliders that you have tried thus far, that will give you 150 pitches per team? 1 or 2 walks I can deal with. My biggest pet peave is seeing games where neither team gets 100 pitches total.

That would be hard to do. There aren't near enough foul balls in this game to get pitch counts to where they should be. To get pitch counts right, everything else would probably have to be messed up.

                          Re: CPU vs CPU Sliders?

I'm using dawg's sliders with some of my own modifications and they work really well. I've been testing for a while now and I get very different final scores for example:
                          Nationals @ Marlins 1-2
                          Reds @ Brewers 2-5
                          Rays @ Red Sox 8-3
                          Phillies @ Rockies 12-7
                          Mets @ Marlins 6-0
I've tested a lot more but you can see that the scores vary a lot. I just have one big problem. The swing-at-first-pitch problem isn't anything new, even though it doesn't really happen often to me. In fact, I had a lot of of full counts or even 10 pitch at-bats. However, in the 1st inning or whenever a new pitcher enters the game, the CPU swings at every pitch and almost always hits it. Sometimes the pitching teams gets lucky and doesn'T give up any runs, but I had a bunch of runs in the 1st inning. For example in a Royals vs. Yankees game that ended 6-1 Yankees, the Royals SP Ponson gave up 5 runs in the 1st inning, but only threw 12 pitches. Is there a slider to stop this first inning problem? Cause I can't insatll the patch for some reason if that would fix it.
                          So here are the sliders:
                          <hr style="color: rgb(57, 57, 57);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> AI Hitting Success - 55
