    Lowering Pitch Speed

Ive noticed a greater variety of hits by lowering pitch speed. this also allows the batter to hit the ball with more pop resulting in more extra base hits. also after lowering it ive begun to draw more walks because i can better read balls and strikes. has anyone else noticed this?

I guess you might be right. It's just already too slow for me to try this. I'm thinking of speeding it up ronsley.

I agree. I need the extra time and have it at 55.

slower speed allows the user more time to read the pitches. are you striking out at all. if so how many do you average per game?

I think 50 works fine for me until I get the hitting thing down.

I still strike out a normal amount. Greinke struck me out 13 times in my game against him. I think I struck out 7 times in my last game. As far as I'm concerned, pitch speed is simply user preference. Do whatever you want here.

I am finding with a higher pitch speed, I am usually pretty late. So 75% of my hits are opposite field. I have higher hit totals, since the CPU shifts defensively. I'm not saying this is a good thing by any means though.

I get high K's, low BB's, and a lot of opposite field hits. I'll have to try lowering the speed to see if I can pull the ball some.

It has a lot to do with guessing, like in real life. If you can't pull the ball, then try sitting on certain pitches in certain counts, if you can get ahead and look inside for a fastball, you'll be able to pull it if you get it. If you don't get it and swing anyways, you'll be out front and whiff or roll it foul, or roll it to an infielder. I have mine on 75, and if I think i might be getting something offspeed and hesitate for a split second, its already too late, best case scenario i get lucky and slap it down the opposite field line for a single. I guess what i'm saying is guess a little bit more, instead of trying to adjust, big league hitters cannot do this regularly if at all.
