You may be on to something, I am really poor at timing my swings. When I tried the camera you listed above my first thought was "uh oh I think I have my new camera", but I realized later in the game it was due to hitting against Jered Weaver who was throwing nothing but strikes.
I was swinging at almost everything, and making contact, which was great. I wasn't getting many hits, but it was so much better than constantly getting "very early swing" or "very late swing" messages that annoy me so much.
I noticed I wasn't working counts and Weaver was in the 7th with only 49 pitches thrown, and only 11 balls. For reasons beyond me, they pulled him from the game somewhere between 55 and 60 pitches, despite only allowing 1 run. I think Scot Shields was the guy they brought in, and he was all over the place but I was swinging anyway and it hit me that I don't think I'm quick enough to determine balls and strikes in time to put the bat through the zone.
Of course after I switched back to batting cam 1 I was getting the late/early swing messages again lol. I think what I'm gonna do is try the cam you mentioned but stick with it for a full game or 2 and see what happens. I hate that I've had this game since march and still can't decide which one to use.
