If you move the cpu AI fielding speed to 100(i have mine on 90 now)it makes up for a lot of the stupidity that goes on because of the ******** AI.No help for catchers not tagging at the plate though.
I have seen a noticable improvment in;
-Slow grounders that should be stopped by middle infielders are(still happens sometimes but rarley ever)
-Makes up for the slow throwing actions the AI fielding has
-Fly balls that should be caught by infielders are more often(semi fixs awkward routes they take to get to the ball)
-You will see more diving/jumping/all around "highlight" or "web gem" type plays.
This will make the overall feel of the game seem more real,or atleast does for me.I did raise my sliders a little though to account for more plays being made.
Here are the important ones
Batting CPU
contact 55 or 60(still toying around with this but 60 seems pretty solid)
power 100
Pitching USER
pitch meter speed-75(this is more user preference)
pitch speed-100
pitch break influence-0(it seems like 0 makes the pitches break more and 100 less,sorta like the throw meter slider,cosmetic mostly)
pitcher composure-50
I have played alot of games with this and get varying results,never a string of 1 to 0 games or vice versa.I played agaisnt the Braves,gave up 5 runs in 6.1 IP and 10 hits one game.
Next start was the NATS pitched a complete game and gave up a run in the ninth winning 5-1.After that played the Braves again went a complete game(still waiting on that AI pitcher managment fix 2k) gave up 3 runs and 7 hits,one being a 2 run shot from Brian Mcann(sp?).
