    NLD230's sliders

Figured I'd throw my hat in the ring as well. Like many, I'm working off default all star sliders and making adjustments.

These are a very early set, but here's how I play them:

I make every effort to win every game. I play all 162 games of franchise, simming ST. The goal of these sliders is to produce realistic stats at the end of the franchise season when the user is trying to win. In other words, no "I need to walk this guy to keep my walk numbers realistic" etc.

Some good ideas here. I think I need to bump the CPU fielding errors up a little bit because they didn't make a single error in the 4 games I played last night.

Lowering baserunner speed I think is needed as well mainly because of too many triples hit into the gaps. I was worried about not being able to steal bases because of it but I see you lowered catcher arm str and acc to compensate for this.

Only other thing that concerns me about lowering base runner speed is beating out infield hits. Seems like speedsters are really hard to get out on bunt attempts and double plays are also very difficult to turn on even avg/above avg speed guys so maybe it is a needed change.

I bumped up infield and outfield speed to 30/30 hoping to cut down on the triples but I think its more the slow gather/throw animations that allow these overly speedy runners to leg out triples on what should be stand up doubles.

Agree on the triples. It's not that the balls shouldn't be doubles, but they take so long to gather them after they hit the wall and return them to the infield. I almost have to do "house rules" to keep me from going to third on every gapper.

I've seen pretty decent numbers on stealing with the decreased runner speed and catcher speed. Need more games to really get a feel.

Fielding errors, I haven't seen a single one, and this really worries me. Over at the 2k forums, people have said they see plenty of errors. I've only seen the occasional throwing error.

Last night, I bumped gather error frequency to 100 and put pitchers in defensive positions, then pitched weak pitches to try and find an error. 2 games, not one bobbled grounder. Somethings up.

        Re: NLD230's sliders

Made some adjustments. Raised CPU hitting. Most significant is upping baserunner aggression to 80. Still trying to get guys to try to score from second on hits to the OF.

Biggest reason for upping CPU hitting power, errors will happen more often if there are sharp grounders. Gives me cause to consider raising the user batting power.
