    Initial level for slider adjustments?

Does it matter what level you begin with before starting slider adjustments?

The reason I ask is that just playing one Default All-Star seems to have an effect on how my players react and move on defensive plays. That is, they don't see to get the same (or as much) of an initial move in the direction of the ball hit in their direction, I need to be more active in moving them. I don't know if this is controlled via a slider or just a hidden effect from playing at All-Star.

I've been playing Pro and getting pretty good games but now need more challenge. Bumping up to All-Star has produced some good games but seems like it needs to be toned down for me right now. I like the added pitching challenge but AI hitting is seems to product too many gappers, triples, etc. (could be my pitching).

So for example, is it better to start a Pro and then adjust up the difficulty, or All-Star and adjust down?

Thanks in advance for your input.

I started @ pro but user offense was too high. I then raised user batting to all star levels and cpu pitching to all star levels while leaving the rest @ pro. I've made my tweaks from there and from BIGFNJOE96's sliders.
