Just use Joe and/or Blazzen sliders and your games will play more real

Well thanks for the insight, but I am looking for a little more detail. I mean what all did everyone notice that warrants changing 95% of the sliders. I thought it seemed like it played really well out of the box. With the exception of a few too many extra base hits due to the slow outfield speed, and the lack of power hitting HR's. I mean seriously. How many games did people play before they changed up all the sliders? Once you start tweaking...it's never ending. Just wondering what I may have missed.

      Thanks!

        Thanks!
I started @ default pro. User offense was too high so I went to all star user batting and all star cpu pitching and the rest pro. This was decent, but then I had too little offense, not enough extra base hits or home runs. Then it basically spiraled from there. You are right on two counts, this game does play well out of the box, better than any previous year I can remember and slider tweaking does seem to be never ending if you are looking for the "perfect" set. I tweak until I am happy up until around opening day. I usually have a set finalized by then and start a franchise. I typically don't tweak franchise sliders except between years (I play one of every 6 games, so basically a year is 27 games for me plus playoffs) if it is necessary.

        Hope this helps...

Thanks blaze. I did notice the few things I mentioned from the start, and I know that certain adjustments will have to be made. Believe me...I have had my run with sliders. I just really feel that very small changes need to be made. I think it just feels like the "closer" you keep it to the default this year the closer you are to getting good results. Now of course this is only after about 6 games for me. But it just seemslike the more changes, and the more drastic the amount of change is...really can throw the Game engine or the AI out of wack, because it is trying to remember and adjust all those things at once.

Anyways.... I am working on a in depth experiment over here, but it will take a little time. I do however like what you all are doing. I..in no way was trying to discourage you or anyone else making sliders. As I said...I have always been a slider guy per say.

          Good day.

            Re: Default

Pitcher control is a little too high; AI can get triples too easily; stealing is too easy on AI catchers.

That's 3 things, but overall I think you're right, the game plays good out of the box.

              Re: Default

Agreed it does play pretty well out of the box, that is why most of my sliders are at 50. I have raised fielder speed, AI running aggression, and CPU hitting a bit.
