    Possible slider glitch?

I noticed the other day when I was experimenting with different slider settings that I could get them working well for the 1 game I adjusted the sliders for. I had finally found settings that are ideal for me. However, when I went to play a 2nd game with those settings the game reverted to playing like it was set on the default settings, weak hits, tons of foul balls, very few hits, lots of K's even though when I checked the sliders they were still set where I had them from the previous game. This was for both teams so it isn't because of my timing or whatever.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

You have to save difficulty sliders, profile and settings. It isn't a glitch. And this doesn't belong here, post in feedback section.

They are saved. I posted here to get feedback before I posted anywhere else. If, as you say, the cause is me not saving, why should I post it in feedback then?

      Thanks for your help.

If I understand OP correctly, the slider settings were saved. But the game appeared to play as if he had never adjusted anything.

To answer your question I have never noticed anything

Your observation has been discussed in the past on the MLB 2K forums. I recall people here having this dialogue at least two years ago for example.

I don't play franchise in MLB 2K, so I've never tested it out myself. But I can tell you from playing FIFA that the game programming does in fact alter the slider difficulty from game to game, regardless of what you've set your sliders at. The idea I assume is to create a dynamic difficulty experience to the game, rather than having the difficulty remain static as you progress thru your season. It's a form of momentum programming, bottomline.

Again, I don't know about MLB 2K. But I do know people have discussed it and talked about how the same sort of programming is present in this series as well.

mlb 2k12 doesn't adjust your sliders from game to game as far as I know. But if you edit your sliders at the home screen, and then start a new franchise, it sometimes resets your sliders(even if you set it to custom at the start menu).

But I said this is not a feedback section, this is for posting your own sliders. It should be in the feedback section(For Future Patches). And I only suggested it might be a save problem. I didn't say it WAS. But I re-read your first post and I think you should keep adjusting your sliders. Just because you have played one game with lots of hits and then you play another and didn't get a lot of them, doesn't make the sliders broken. Keep tweaking them. Play MORE THAN ONE GAME before calling it a glitch. I have had games where I had 10+ hits and then the next game I would only get 4-6 hits. Doesn't mean I think they are broken.

Did you try a third game after that?

I think it is very important to be aware that the pitching accuracy and hitting sliders only provide a higher (the higher the slider) or lower (the lower the slider) chance of something. This means not that you have guarantee of e.g. better hitting, you have a chance of better hitting. This does not mean that you will always hit better. But in the long term this chance should pay out.

Play a few more games and you should see that overall you should hit better.

              Example:
I play mainly the giants and sometimes I am able to make 7 runs against a good pitcher like Kennedy, bombing 2 homers in this game.
But in the next game versus Capuano it seems that I am not able to hit anything and he shuts me out over 7 innings.
And then compare this to the reality. Look at the starting pitchers' performances yesterday. Sabathia giving up a grand slam, Gallardo giving up 4 homeruns, Lincecum giving up 2 homeruns in one inning. But also Dempster making a shutout the day before yesterday.
Ingame it will somehow happen as well.

Also dont forget the the pitcher for the CPU will get pitch ratings boosts if he strikes you out. (just like you do)

So if you K out a couple of times early on, or get hits early the CPU's ratings are going up or down making it easier or harder.

This feature wasnt in the game in years past, so some people might not take into consideration the effect this can have.
