Remember, the Power Slider determines how hard you hit the ball, not how far.
With it @ 100 I have seen a fairly good amount of HR's. Nothing too crazy, or out of the ordinary.
I've seen BOMBS & balls that just make it out of the park

Re: Power Slider For User: Where Do You Have It?
Leave it at default and just directional hit to your pull side. For a RHB hold the left stick to the right and for a LHB hold the left stick to the left. Should result in more HRs and doubles in the gaps and if you don't like the results then change your power sliders. What's Understood Ain't Gotta Be Explained...But You Don't Understand Me So Let Me Explain...o_0Comment

Shouldn't that be hold the L stick to the left for RHB to pull the ball and visa versa?Comment

Re: Power Slider For User: Where Do You Have It?
Using the LS can provide better power if used on the appropriate pitches. But I'm seeing this more in solid drives to the gaps than home runs.
In my experience, pushing up drastically increases the odds of a pop=up, so I don't even use it when trying to get a guy in from third. To often it resulted in shallow fly balls.
I will use the LS to drive a ball to the spot an IF leaves during a hit and run, because the it can still get through, even if it is not as solid. And I don't see a real need to push down to get a ground ball.
I have user power at 75, but I'm still not seeing HR's totals, even using the LS. But I only use the LS when it is an inside or outside pitch. And even then, I am more likely to use it when I get a hitter's eye warning.Comment

Re: Power Slider For User: Where Do You Have It?
I'm using Joe's 2k12 sliders which has power at 50. I'm also using classic hitting and so far have been able to hit the ball out of the park at what I would say is a pretty realistic rate. I may go a game or two and not have any to only have a run of games where I hit 1-2 a game. With it at 50 vs 65 where I had it set I seem to get a better variety of hits.Comment

Re: Power Slider For User: Where Do You Have It?
Tvman is correct what i previously stated would be considered pushing pitches NOT pull, as Tvman said RHB hold the L stick to the left and LHB hold the L stick to the right. This should create more HRs and doubles in the gap. And as Mt Oread said L stick up = pop fly only really useful with a man on 3rd for sac fly otherwise don't use L stick up.What's Understood Ain't Gotta Be Explained...But You Don't Understand Me So Let Me Explain...o_0Comment

Yep Tvman is right again and I was just about to say the same thing timing is still Utterly important. But just to give an example of how effective directional hitting can be with correct timing I in my Rays franchise am leading the league in team HRs with 10 in the first week of the season. Three by Longoria w/84 OVR POW, three by Zobrist w/69 OVR POW, one by Jennings w/66 OVR POW, one by Johnson w/73 OVR POW, and two by Jones w/89 OVR POWWhat's Understood Ain't Gotta Be Explained...But You Don't Understand Me So Let Me Explain...o_0Comment
