Re: Blzer's Pro sliders (very early and tentative)

I just played a game with the sliders. I committed 4 errors (2 with Manny Ramirez, and 2 w/ Mark Bellhorn). The opposing team (Cleveland) had a total of ten wild pitches. I scored 4 of my 5 runs off of wild pitches. I don't know if the error sliders correlate with the passed ball/wild pitches, but I'm going to give it a shot.

Psh, yeah... change the error sliders. I knew that I had some problems.

        Was everything else alright?

The pitch counts were good, and each side had 2 BB's. This wild pitch thing is killing me though. I hope there's a fix, because Gamestop won't allow you to return a game after it's been opened. And its 19.99 new, so they'd probably only give me like 5 dollars towards MVP.

            MOST WILD PITCHES - GAME
            AL - Jack Morris - 5 (8/3/87)
            AL - Charlie Wheatley - 5 (9/27/12)

Well the opposing starting pitcher had 7 of the 10 wild pitches, so he set a modern-day record.

I'll try these out. Blzer, have you been getting really realistic results with those sliders?

Re: Blzer's Pro sliders (very early and tentative)

I've gotten realistic results, yes... but, I feel I've gotten a little too many infield hits (infield hits in general... just not enough going into the outfield). This happens because of corner pitches, so I may reduce that. I also may increase everybody's power maybe 2, and AI's contact and skill sliders maybe 1 or 2 also.

Just remember... work your counts, and everybody can have a power swing. For most of the hitters, I'll swign with power until two strikes, then I'll swing with contact, unless I'm in a situation to bring a runner home from second.

Oh, and the wild pitches still exist.

Remember, I posted this slider set only 8 hours after I got the game, and trust me... I haven't been playing that whole time, nor have I been working on sliders the whole time. They are early... most IF NOT ALL are subject to change. Please help me out, though. I think I have the general idea with them, but if more people try it out and see what needs fixing, maybe we can now work together and just fine-tune these things until they're perfect.

I'll try them out though I may put my Red Sox dynasty on hold so I can use a neutral team, like the reds, to test the sliders out.
