If you're using one of the converted PC rosters on a console, there isn't a way around it without having the rosters fixed using MVPedit and then re-converted.

I get the same problem with the Braves AA team. Seeing a pattern?

The only way to fix it on the consoles is to have the cpu optimized the rosters if it is your team.
Don't you EVER read my blog? It's gotten a lot better.

This also works if you do it outside of Dynasty/Owner mode on the regular Roster Management screen. Just senddown a player from the team who is the only player on the roster for that position (like me, for the AA Akron Aeros who had a (NULL) in their vs. RHP w/ DH lineup, I send down 1B Michael Aubrey to A-ball) and then go to the lineup screen, where you will now have a hole in the lineup where the demoted player was (in my example it's at 1B). Then, try to exit out, and you will be prompted to Optimize the roster to fix the problem, let the CPU do it for you, and it will fill in both the hole and the (NULL) position. The only problem is, it will alter the makeup of the entire organization, but not anything dramatic. And definitely something that shouldn't be an issue if you are accustomed to it happening anyway in Dynasty/Owner mode.

                    Re: Roster NULL problem

I haven't seen the null thing but I have noticed players disappearing if I am setting my lineups. FOr instance My catcher will be starting against LHP w/ DH but go tover to say RHP w/o DH and he's not even listed. As a starter or on the bench. Has this happened to anyone?

this happened to me too, but i noticed if you go to the defensive alignment screen the player "reappears." it's a hassle, but it's better than the guy disappearing altogether.
