Why You Should Always Pay Attention

I'm dominating my 2nd season with the Rangers playing every 4th game. I'm 28-9 and on a 9-game winning streak. I'm searching the trading blocks and notice Hayden Penn. I figure hey what the hell. I put up Frank Francisco who has a 7.98 ERA and Ian Kinsler a top-100 prospect at SS where I have Michael Young and Joaquin Arias(another top 100). I see the salaries...5.30 mil for 100 K. I'm like this'll never work. It goes through. Huh? Then I look. I didn't trade Frank Francisco, I traded Francisco Cordero who currently has 11 SV with a 0.00 ERA. I had already saved and now I know this is going to wreck my season.

Man that sucks big time. You will have to find another closer somehow.

My plan is to use Ryan Bukvich as closer who has been decent enough. I was thinking of trading Penn back for the same package, however, Cordero is 32 he won't be that good for long and Penn is a top 100 prospect as a starter and is 23 years old. So maybe it won't turn out bad. Glad real GMs don't have to deal with this stuff.

You could always just turn off Fair Trades and trade Hayden back for Francisco and Kinsler. Just remember to turn Fair Trades back on.

Yeah i dont see anything wrong with that either. Because theres no interest meter and you dont get a chance to nix trades that would go through, its virtually impossible to tell whats going on. If the computer came back after you proposed trades and said "so and so accepts, are you sure you want to trade this guy and this guy for these guys"and show their stats youd certainly have a shot to realize that you were trading the wrong guy

I never realized you could change the Fair Trade settings once once you start your Dynasty/Owner Mode.
