    What MVP is missing

    MVP needs only two things.

1)Better commentary- " as pitcher you never want to give up a hit against your counterpart" and "you cant hit the ball without swinging the bat meat"
    Enough said.

    2) A enhanced stats section where you can see what each batter is hitting vs. righties/lefties,what they are batting at home/road,day/night etc etc.

Other than that the game is fine.

The gameplay is damn near immaculate, 111 games deep into my franchise in which I play every game Im still seeing new animations from the fielders.

Damn shame this is the last MVP game.

You can see batting average broken down vs. LHP and RHP. When you are on stats page, use the square button to cycle through.

I agree, It doesn't cover enough different stats. I'd like to know how many double plays the batters and fielders are involved in.

Okay here exactly is what MVP is missing

      1.Better Commentary

Agreed with everything. The announcers love the field way too much and there is no depth to the commentary. Just awful.

      2.Atmosphere

No sports game has ever really accomplished this. If I'm in game 7 of the ALCS at home, my place should be rocking and the announcers should be excited and there should be cutaways of my players jumping up and down. A walk-off homer should feel like a walk-off and such. I think everybody gets my drift here.

      3.Stadium Options

Nice idea but it could go more in depth. Dimensions select rather than pre-set. Domed or retractable roof stadiums. The ability to edit the scoreboard and such. Hills like in Minute Maid, etc. Give me lots of options and I'd be content.

      4***nner animations

Not a big deal but every time it's a close play the runner stretches to try and beat the throw but never does. It gets repetitive and I've almost never seen a guy do that exact stretch before. Otherwise it's good.

      5.CPU Roster Management

Players play out of position. Young guys bounce between A and the MLB club. It's okay but it could be better.

      6.Relocation in Owner Mode

Since Madden did it, I assumed MVP could do it. I'd love to move Kansas City to Las Vegas or something like that.

This is all I can think of. The game is very close to perfect as a sports game can get. Madden 2004 is the only game for a certain sport that made huge steps. Regardless MVP 2005 is pretty damn good.

To add one thing to this that would absolutely make my day atleast, would be to add stats for batter vs pitcher, that way I could look up say Adrian Beltre and see how he has hit against any pitcher in the league, would add a lot more strategy to the game if I knew some bench player murdered a certain pitcher over his carrer and then I could start him accordingly.

This may sound gay, but all I've EVER asked for in a baseball game was batting practice. REAL batting practice like ASB had. How hard is that???? Not a stupid game, I wanna get my guy in the cage and practice different pitches, locations, etc.

            That's it...

Agreed...this would be nice. Infact, the only reason I can see that a game development team wouldn't do this is fear of gamers being able to more easily pick up flaws of the batting system. (I think the system is pretty good for MVP btw).

They could do SO much more with stats! All should be displayed IN GAME or mentioned by the announcers. I know its possible because they do some individual stuff on pitchers (record, opp. batting average). I would like to see/hear ...

                1. BA vs. Lefties, righties
                2. BA w/runners in scoring position
                3. BA home/away
                4. hitting streaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                5. SB percentage
                6. catcher's caught stealing percentage
                7. holds (for relievers)

That's just a few off the top of my head. Baseball is the most stats driven sport there is. LET'S SEE/HEAR SOME OF IT DURING THE BROADCAST!!!!!

I'd love to see hitting streaks. I usually have to keep up with it myself.

Hell id like fielding practice. Doesnt have to be anything too in depth but just have one player out there taking fly balls or grounds on the infield.

Pitching streaks too. Johan had a simulated 36 scoreless inning streak and when I played and lost it the announcers made no mention of it. But I agree with the stats. I love stats and I'd like to see & hear more about them

                        Things I'd like to see:

                        -Trading block like ASB
-Ability to see what each player has done in each of the last 10 games (also in ASB)
-Option to take warm-up pitches when bringing in a new pitcher to get used to the speed of his pitch-meter.
                        -Progression that is'nt so craptastic.
-Ability to let the CPU use the lineups you've made but make day to day adjustments resting players etc.
-Players to alert you that they're thinking of retiring in the off-season.
-Retirees can come back to be free agents.
-Need for players to play some rehab games when coming back from injury otherwise theirs a greater risk of reinjury or possibility of reduced stats for a few games.
-40 man roster + Options so you cant send anyone up and down between lthe Majors and Minors all you want.
                        -Expanded roster in Sept.
-Amateur Draft in June and Rule 5 draft at the end of season.
-If a ball is going to hit the wall then show a marker on the wall so you dont have to guess if you just have to stand there or jump or if its actually a homerun.
                        -Player Collisions
