Well, I just bought MVP 05 for the PC and got it up and running. I'm wanting to play it with all the updates but I don't know if I can fix the slight stuttering that I'm seeing. Here's what I'm running...

AMD Athlon (2.2 GHZ Processor)
8X CD ROM Drive
256 MB RAM (I believe, I'm not sure how to check)
GeForce 6200 Video card.

Why am I seeing slight stuttering when throwing accross the infield and pitching? What do I need to run this optimally? I've lowered some of the video options in the game but it doesn't seem to help and I don't want to lower them too much anyway.

First I would check to see if your game stutters after you install EA patch #3 and before you install any mods from mvpmods. This will tell you if it is a mod causing the stutter or just your system and the game.

If the stuttering only happens once you install some mods (like the '06 mod or some uniforms) it could be a problem that your computer can't handle the resolution of those mods. There's a guy, Kraw, who had a program that would go through your files and reduce them some to hopefully make the game run smoother. Or at least that's what I gathered from the program, try to find him for clarification. That might fix your problem. The program is somewhere at mvpmods, maybe in the '06 mod issues thread. Things are sometimes hard to find in their forums (no fault of their own, just a lot of info there). If it seems like a mod is causing the stutter, finding this fix and trying it out would be step one to fix your problem.

Honestly I worry about the card the most. What do you think?
