    Need help with hit variety

Instead of taking the thread from the 'Other Baseball' board off-topic, I wanted to bring up a problem I'm having with MVP. Maybe I'm need to adjust a slider, maybe change the way I hit.

I play on the Xbox, and I've noticed that I almost never hit anything down the lines. When I do, the hits are either weak dribblers or bloopers to the opposite field. I can hit HRs, but I cannot send a rockect down the line. The CPU seems to be doing this at a realistic pace.

I've tried using the stick to go with the pitch. Will lowering the contact slider help this out? Any tips?

Keep that left stick at the 9 or 3 o'clock position and nail the pitch and you should be fine. It's a timing thing,I suppose, because I hit alot of those liners myself.
I play on All-Star with contact at 40,using Jistics' sliders with a few small tweaks.

where are Jistic sliders? i can't see them anymore.

also, contact at 40 seems too high. as i recall, his sliders had very low contact sliders.

Here is the link to his version 3 sliders:http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...114923&page=23
The human contact slider is at 40,like his MVP NCAA sliders.

The human contact slider is at 23,as it is in version 2.

I have my contact at +40 and pitch speed to -5. I am playing on MVP.

It's been a while OS. Hope all are doing well!

            Update:

I've had some success by lowering the pitch speed (being the 36 year old man t at I am). I also lowered the foul ball rate down from +25 to about +10. I still get a lot of fouls, so I'm happy with that setting.

Between the 2 of these I seem to be seeing a few more hits closer to the lines than before. THis pretty much seals it for me: MVP 2005 on the Xbox is my baseball game of choice for 2007.
