Anyone? Sorry to be a nuisance but I'm thinking of upgrading my computer. I have a 2.4 ghz p4, 512 ram but will upgrade to 1 gb, and plenty of hard drive space. As I said, I have an AGP slot so I can't use pci-express, sadly. Thanks for any help.

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (AGP) and it runs perfectly. I have a 2.6Ghz processor and 1.5GB RAM.

Have a P4 3.0 with 1 GB of ram. I was using a ATI 9800 Pro 128 MB (AGP)and ran flawlessly. I have since upgraded to a 512MB (AGP) Nvidia 7600 GS and it runs just fine. I have the 9800 just lying around. What card are you using?

I ran the game with a Radeon 9200 (128 mb) at one point and it was fine, as long as you don't over-mod it. I now use a 9800 @ 256 mb. I'm not a big NVIDIA fan.

Thanks a ton everybody. I really appreciate it. Right now I'm looking at two: the Nvidia 7600 GT 256MB and the ATI X1650 Pro 512MB. They are both about the same price but the reviews I have read actually has to 7600 rated better than the 1650. But how is a 256MB better than a 512MB? Thanks again everyone.

I'm not a graphics card "expert" by no means, but I have an ATI x1300(I think..or it might be 1900...can't remember) PCI-E 512mb card w/ a AMD 64 2800+, and 2 gigs or ddr ram, and a 200gig HDD and I can run everything pretty smoothly....I got the comp for under a grand over a year or so ago....I hope that helps you in some way.....

PS. Go to CNET.com and see if they have any ratings on graphics cards...they seem to be fairly accurate in their reviews....just a thought for you....

First thing to consider is your power supply. You'll probably need at least a 350W power supply with either of those cards. My Dell P4 3.0 with 1GB ram came with the ATI 9800 Pro card and the power supply was 250. THe 512MB NVidia 7600 GS requires a minimum 350 W Power supply. IF you don't wish to upgrade your power supply then go with a nice ATI 9800 Pro. Very good and stable card for MVP plus no additional expense and headache of replacing the PSU.
You really don't need the 512MB especially on an older AGP board computer. Save your money

This game is not happening with a P4 laptop with 512 RAM is it? Needs to have a "real" graphics card? My laptopis the best PC in the house. Standard PC will soon be getting nixed for the laptop (new baby need space) but it is just a 2.7 celeron with 512ram. While I "could" get a real graphics card for it and hook to TV for gaming, the CPU itself is not fast enough correct? This stuff is too expensive for me I think. MVP is great on Xbox, but it seems to be fantastic on PC with all the mods available.

On my 2.4ghz pc with 1gb of RAM I use a ATI Radeon 9500 PRO AGP video card and the game plays great at high resolution.

Actually I dont think the game runs any different on my 3.0ghz, 1gb RAM and XFX 7600 GT XXX PCI-E video card.

I think the specs werent that high, p3 700 maybe? I would think the video card would be whats slowing you down. Not sure whats your price range but you could probably get a AGP (I assume u have AGP) card pretty cheap (maybe a Nvidida 6800) or atleast cheap with a rebate

I was able to run MVP 2004 and MVP 2005 on my 4 year Dell laptop. It has a P4 2.53 ghz CPU, 512 meg of memory and a 16mb built in ATi graphics card.

I just finished trying out MVP 05 on my HP laptop... I had just purchased a new memory chip, so now my total memory is 768 MB RAM. I have a built in Radeon AGP video chip, and an Athlon processor.

Here's the thing... The game runs fine, with minimal slowdown. I was actually excited by this. But... The players, they have certain patches of invisibility. Kind of like you can tell they're mapped out, but they've got this "Invisible Man" thing going on, usually on their back, where the numbers go, and on their thighs... Everything else is cool, but I'm just wondering what I can do to address this... I can always play it on my PC here at home, but I was kinda looking forward to taking my laptop to work and playing on it when I have some down periods in my office. Is this a memory issue, or is there something I have to adjust to get the full player (and umpire) rendering? I got the laptop off ebay, it came with 2 256 MB chips, I had planned on upgrading it with 2 512 chips.

I know that you can go into options and select the level of detail for the players, maybe that has something to do with it.
