OK, I'm an idiot (MVP 07 mod related)
Please consider this a cry for help, a cry for assistance. I am having trouble getting the mod to take effect on the game when I try to play. I extracted everything to the datafile folder, but when I go to start a game, I'm still playing with original rosters from 2005. Please address this as you would to one who is totally clueless, and walk me through what to do with this mod, so I can get access to the different camera views, overlays, and roster... I'm gonna uninstall the game and start from scratch when I get home. Thanks!Tags: None -

I am not sure about modding the game much, but for rosters, don't you put them in the MVP baseball folder in My Documents? Not sure... hopefully it'll help?
I'm getting ready to try and find that "grass" modifier, to reduce the shimmering.Twitter - WTF_OS

I thought they were supposed to go in the datafile or data subfolder on the C: drive where it says "Program Files". Program Files then EA Sports, then MVP Baseball 2005, then data, then datafile.Comment

TarHeel, it's probably a better idea to post this on MVPMods.com because it'll get more hits there than here for sure.
As for your question, I would have NO idea. I couldn't get the 07 Mod to work on my laptop.Comment

Yeah, I was gonna post it over there, but the mvpmods site is blocked at my work. So I figured I'd give it a shot here. I'd have went ahead and posted it over there once I got home, but I got lazy and started watching the Mets.Comment

Re: OK, I'm an idiot (MVP 07 mod related)
This is exactly what you need to do. Simply install MVP 05 from the original discs, then install the mod by running the executable file. It takes some time, but that's really all you need to do. Install in the default folders prompted by the exe. files.Comment

Re: OK, I'm an idiot (MVP 07 mod related)
You do if you have another version of the game installed (i.e., Total Classics - plug, plug). To do this you'll need to get into your "Run..." screen, type "regedit" and find the EASports folders/keys in your software section. Delete both major keys for MVP2005, fooling your cpu into thinking it's no longer installed. You don't need to delete the MVP2005online key. Then when you load disk 1, you can do a fresh install. Afterwards you can name the folder anything that you want on this fresh install.Comment

I got it going... I wanted to kick myself when I saw how simple it was after I saw what I was doing wrong.Comment
