Player models...
Hey fellas, are there any updates to the player models, making their heads more proportionate to their bodies? Their bodies are short and squinty, but their heads are too large, lol.
This is a great game though.. I'm playing it on 1024x768x32 resolution as well..Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Player models...
Too be honest...I have no idea...but IDL'ed a few things over at MVPmods.com and my player models look pretty good IMO.....I wish I could tell you what I DL'ed, but I really don't remember....it was def. the MVP 07 mod and I THINK I grabbed a datafile from spitoon...but other than that, i don't remember....are your players looking like the lil guys from wizard of Oz on ALL camera angles or just certain ones? My guys look pretty even in the feild(I use the ZOOM camera) and hitting (Behind the plate camera).....hope that helps you in SOME way....

Re: Player models...
I just downloaded some player .big files or something.. I'm going to see if that helps anything. It says something about making the legs look longer, etc. And they look like it from all angles. Probably because my computer monitor is 32", and I can really tell the difference, lol, but still. Overall, I am having a great time w/ the game though.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Player models...
wait, is your monitor a wide screen? Are you trying to play MVP in widescreen? If so, that may be your problem...I read over at the other site that the game doesn't truely run in widescreen, so in turn it just stretches out your players and makes em look fat and stubby...if that's not your circumstance, then I have no idea what it could be.......oh and MVP is seriously fun to play IMO....I absolutely love the dynasty mode(wish there was "real" scouting involved in the draft though) and IMO I believe it's a better game than 2k7(excluding the graphics of course) at least in franchise mode. Anyway, I hope you get your player model issue figured out....

Re: Player models...
Yeah, unfortunately, I'm playing in Widescreen.. but I can't stand having the blackbars on the side of my screen.. Oh well.. I'll live w/ the Oompa Loompa's... haha.
Too much fun not to. I wish there was a way to get the graphics close to that of MLB 2k7. If we could, I'd be so very happy.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Player models...
On Default All-Star, this game plays a great game. I actually pitched a 5 hit shutout with Harang against the Cubbies a little while ago... it was intense. I got to Zambrano early in the game, with 4 runs in the 1st 2 innings, but after that, my offense was non existant...
I had an absolute blast. Now, if I could only find some files that updated all of the jersey textures, to make them look more realistic, "wrinkled" I guess.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Player models...
I think that gameplay wise, and franchise/dynasty wise, this game (w/ the mvp 07 mod)is definately better than MLB 2k7....that's just in my opinion of course.....as far as wrinkled jerseys, I think there was a DL over at mvpmods or eamods that updated the look of the jerseys and improved the graphics....I don't know about "wrinkled" jerseys though, I'm not sure that is even possible to mod(I'm def. not an expert so I could be wrong on that one).....
Oh and WTF, I just bought a Samsung 22" WS, 3000:1 contrast w/ 2ms response time (on sale at Circuit City...web special I believe) and I don't have the oompa loompa issue(this is my 1st WS monitor), so maybe that's not the reason you were having the issue w/ the tree stump look alike player models, although I KNOW I read a thread at mvpmods about the WS issue, so who knows...maybe I just got lucky....or maybe I DL'ed a data file or something that corrected the issue(there are SO MANY goodies at that site to DL, that I forgot what I grabbed) Anyway, I hope this helps you in some way

Re: Player models...
Yeah, I downloaded something for kccitystar or someone at MVPMods that really helped w/ the look of the player. Now, the game looks pretty good... I still find myself going back and forth between this and MLB 2k7... but the gameplay in this game is just great. No two ways about it.
The only problem I have, is a stuttering issue. No matter what options I turn off.. what resolution I play at.. I always get some stuttering. Not sure what I could do to help this.
I have:
Athlon XP 2400 (2.0GHz)
1GB DDR2 Ram
80GB HDD
512 MB ATI Radeon 1600x Pro video
So I should be just fine playing the game... but I get a constant stutter during parts of the game. Like throwing to first base... or after a missed strike.. the game stutters in the backswing. I don't know. Overall.. I'm still having great fun w/ it though.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Player models...
Several people had the same thing with the 07 mod. For me, the fix was using the field changer mod and kc's 1x uniforms. I was seeing the stuttering after the pitch (and the throw to first). But, once installing those two mods and using the broadcast fielding view I've had no problems. I don't like broadcast view on the XBox, which I rarely play anyway, but on the PC it's great, though maybe it's the datafile.txt I'm using as well.Comment

Re: Player models...
Glad it helped. But, if you're still having a random hiccup here and there, it may be related to cpu resources vs. the program. I use EndItAll (ver.1) to easily shutdown everything running that could take away from the smoothness of the game. I'll try to post it here again later.Comment

Re: Player models...
Here's the EndItAll program. I love this thing. It's a very small program and it's so easy to use. Great for anytime you're ready to PC game. Unzip and install.
(p.s., there is a ver. 2, but there's something weird about it. I wouldn't doubt it has some type of spyware attached to it.)Attached FilesComment

Re: Player models...
Thanks for the EndAll zip file...I can't wait to get home and try it....I probably don't need it b/c my game runs smooth like a console, but that's cause I have pretty decent specs on my pc, but I know this can't hurt....thanks again flyboy
