I installed the '07 mods and now my MVP plays in fast forward

I made a thread about this over at mvpmods but they can't seem to help me which has me worried, but I'll try and post it here anyway.

I had the Total Classics and MVP '06 last summer and they worked flawlessly. Last night I started messing around with all the '07 mods and I could have sworn they were working correctly. I got home from work today, fired up '07 and everything looks/works fine except the game moves about 2-3 times faster than it should, thus making it impossible to play.

So I deleted everything (the default '05 plus all mods I had) and reinstalled just the '07 mod - same thing. Yet somehow the default '05 I just reinstalled is at normal speed.

I adjusted the V-Sync in the game and on my PC as recommended on mvpmods and I even tried messing w. the dual-processor option to no avail. I'm going to be extremely bummed out if I can't fix this.

What is your refresh rate on your monitor? I think there is a fix on MVPMods that affects your refresh rate. I increased my refresh rate a couple months ago from 60 to 70 hz and bam! The game was just freaking out. Went back and reset to 60hz and back to playing normal.

Messing with refresh rates can be dicey. I've burned a monitor out doing this. I did notice that when I went in to dumb down my ATI settings for D3D and OpenGL to try to get a happy medium with TW07, the game sped up. And I mean everything sped up, loading screens, included. If you have a way to access your D3D and/or OpenGL settings, make sure that if it list the vertical sync setting, it is at least at "application preference" or something like that.

I got it fixed about 10 minutes after I made that post, but thanks for the advice.

It was very odd, for some reason the drivers for my USB Xbox controller adopter got fried. I uninstalled/reinstalled and once I got that working properly the game went back to normal speed.

I can't begin to imagine how they're related, but I don't care as long as my game is working.
