MVP 2005 is the best baseball game I have ever played, no question. The worst thing to ever happen to sports games are these exclusive lisence deals. I tried to play MLB 2K6 and it sucked. I tried MLB 06: The Show, it sucked. I tried MLB 2K7 on XBOX 360, it sucked. I tried MLB 07: The Show, it sucked. I bought a PlayStation 3 for MLB 08: The Show because I thought that this was (after 3 years of crappy baseball games my savior) and lo and behold...it sucked too. In other words every single baseball video game has sucked in comparison to MVP 2005. I honestly don't know if I will ever love a sports game more. So after 3 years of not having a baseball game I'm ready for my final leap and I need some help. I know that this will solve my problems but I have a few questions...
I want to play MVP 2005 on the PC because I know that MVPMods provides updates for just about everything. However, I do not have a PC to run this game. My wife and I are thinking about buying a PC anyway so this gives me a good opportunity to renew my love affair with the greatest baseball game ever made. Here's what I need to know and I would really appreciate it if someone could answer these questions for me...
What kind of PC will I need (video card, etc.) to run this game with the optimal graphics (with all of the mods from MVP mods)?
Is there a 2008 mod available that updates everything (stadiums, uniforms, schedules, etc.)?
Is it possible to play a franchise using the MVP mods (begining with this season, 2008) or will it just allow for season mode.
Any other suggestions or comments would be much appreciated. I'm excited to possibly play a good baseball game again but I want to be sure it is everything that I expect it to be before I drop money on a new PC.
