I just started playing this game again too, it rocks! I can't get roster updates anymore because the action replay wont work with my computer, but I do have an awesome fantasy draft that I started with one of my friends a while back that I play now. We just drafted some random players that we had no idea who they were(we knew some but not a lot), and I'm 25-25 with them. It's definitely a fun game.

With all the mods this game has, it makes it better than any other Baseball out to date. Oh how I wish EA makes another Baseball game.

I agree, I am in the middle of the 2008 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers
I never did get into downloading new roster, because I enjoyed the challange of putting together a new roster and drafting new talent.
I hope that EA will be able to make a new game.
but I have not found another baseball game that plays like this one.

Man, I cant believe people are still playing 2005. MLB 08 and MLB 2k8 are both really good games. I think if they combined them in to one game, they would have the perfect game. I also think EA should make another baseball game. They could use fake customizable rosters/logos and stuff like that, or they could even use something stupid like the Independent baseball leagues. Maybe they could make an official World Baseball Classic game with all the teams and more.

PS: Does anyone know where I can download the new rosters on the internet with my PS3 and not have to download any special computer software or stuff like that?????

In 2k8 I can't get over how my outfielders just let the ball drop without even making an attempt to catch it while standing right under it. I don't own the show anymore, I played a lot when I first got it then just never played it enough to keep it(ps2 version). But this game, for me, provides a very fun experience and I don't get tired of it.

yeah, that outfielder thing has happened to me a couple of times, you just have to be careful, I also think MLB 2k should get superstar mode too.

2K8 is not a good game. I have played a total of about 6-7 games and just put it down and never touched it again. MVP on the other hand is so much fun. Who would have thought the majority would prefer a four old game over these next gen games.

I think MLB 2k8 is a pretty solid game. To be honest, It would be extremely hard for me to go back and play MVP because it doesnt feel realistic.

Doesn't feel realistic? 2K8 is realistic? Your crazy. The ball physics alon in MVP are 100 times more realistic thank 2k8, also the batting stances and pitching motion are dead on four years ago than they are now.

i agree with both of you. i bought 2k8 the day it came out. it was unplayable. the patch made it playable, but it still wasn't as good as mvp, the show or power pros. however, i copied some sliders, dan sf4999999 or something and that game is now very good.

in fact, it reminds me of mvp hitting. the pitch method is now the best i have ever played.

i like the throw meter for fielding. i couldn't use the mvp 06 version. this is one is better.

so, you are both right. mvp played a better game out of the box. both needed sliders to truly bring out the depth of the game, but 2k8 really really needed them.

when it comes to baseball games, i play them all. i have had multiple season dynasty's in all baseball games. all have something the other needs, but all do something right also.

yeah, but the game is 4 years old and the stances/deliveries are old. MLB 2k8 is a pretty realistic game to me, the pitching and hitting with the analog stick seem pretty real to me. "Ball physics" aren't important to me, Im not looking for quality "ball physics" whenever i play a new baseball game. Maybe MVP seems old to me because its on PS2, and not PS3. But i can honestly say that MVP is not as realistic as 2k8 or The Show for that matter.

I also play both games, but I cannot go back to MVP because it just doesn't feel "advanced" like the current games

Maybe that's why your as into as most of us are. The PC version has a ton of mods that make the game complete. From faces to stadiums, you name it, it's their. The console version is not as nearly as moddable as the PC version is. I'm sure if you have played MVP '08 you would change your tune.
