Thinking of getting this game, but have a couple of questions.

It's hard to spend 60+ dollars on a used game not knowing too much about it.

So I have downloaded a demo of MVP 2004. I couldn't find a demo for the 2005 version.

How does the 2005 version compare to the 2004 version? I thought the 2004 version was okay.

I have MLB 2K8 and I also have a PS3 for the Show. Is is safe to say that MVP 2005 is more like The Show than 2K8? At least that's the impression I get from the 2004 demo.

The 04 version had some bugs and glitches, though I wouldn't be the one to ask about these extensively. If I remember correctly, there was one where you could still tag someone out on 2nd and/or 3rd even if they were still standing on the bag. It's not that 05 is without its demerits. I think the player models and movements are just more organic than in 04. PM me for more info.

Cool thanks, but I only played the demo of 2004 and I read about the lefty HR bug. I'm not as worried about the bugs as much as I'm looking at gameplay aspects.

Here's the deal for me. I have both 2K8 and the Show. Now from reading you can probably guess that most people prefer the Show. Well the first one I bought was 2K8 and well hated it online, but had a blast offline even with it's issues. Then I played an demo of the Show and was like wow!!!! So I went an picked up the PS3 and the Show.

But the funny thing is, after playing 20-30 games of a franchise on the Show, I start getting bored of the actual gameplay and I go back to 2K8. I guess just hitting X gets a little boring for me. But the Show feels more like baseball than 2K8 and looks much better.

So I'm looking for a game that is right inbetween these two games. It seems like MVP, even though is like the show, is a little more interactive on the hitting side and I do like the graphics of MVP with the updated mods and such.
