Also, Gaby Sanchez is in AAA for the Marlins in the rosters.
    Thanks for the info duke.

Hitstreak, do you have a ps2 or xbox with those updated rosters?

PS 2 version. Once you get over the graphics, it is much superior to the show.

Found the updated ps2 rosters, here's a link.

Edit: I did look through the thread and it looks like some of the players on the roster are making the game freeze. They might be fixing it, not sure though.

What a game, what a game. I beat the Pirates again 4-3 (33-44) in an exciting fashion. The game was tied 3-3 in the 9th inning. Austin Kearns, who was recently called up, blasted a 454 foot bomb into the stands to win the game 4-3. Zimmerman was on the hill tonight and notched a quality start under his belt. He went a season high 7 innings, struck out 7, walked 4, and allowed just 3 hits (all singles). This game was flat out intense. My bullpen was able to come through in nice fashion. Wilfredo Ledezma pitched a scorless 8th and 9th to earn just his 1st victory of the season. The Pirates lost 1B Adam LaRoche for 6 days after injuring his elbow trying to break up a double play. He was batting .262 with team highs in HR (10) and RBIs (36). The Pirates are thin as it is, so losing a big bat like this is tough.

Ryan Zimmerman will be activated in about 1-2 days I believe and will be immediately sent out to A to begin his 7 day rehab assignment (yes, i love pretending). My team is starting to get healthy. I have been giving my guys days off here and there because I do not want any of my guys getting hurt again (especially when Im out of the hunt).

After the game, the Giants tried to offer me a trade for non other than Nick Johnson. However, they offered me only Randy Winn and I, of course, said no to that. Sure I need some OF help, but am not going to add payroll for this.

Kyle Blanks, whom I acquired from the Padres for Matt Chico and Roger Bernadina, has been tearing up AA ball, hitting .266 with 5 HR and 15 RBI's. His stats:

          .236 16 HR 44 RBI 16 2B.

I think Blanks was a good addition. I didn't give up too much value and may be the 1B of the future. For crying out loud, the guy is on pace to clock 30 HR in the minors. Very rarely do you see this type of production.

I am using the rosters that were finished late last year. However, I just moved many of the players to their respected teams. My rosters are about 85% accurate.

Also, I edited every single player based on my personal formula. When I tested these forumlas by simming a season, Players like Juan Pierre went homerless during the season, the league leaders in W was 19, CG was 7, the HR leader had 44, RBI leader had 133, SV leader had 46, and K leader had 233. I wanted to create a more sim type game instead of an arcady.

Yeah, and also all first baseman gloves are a rainbow color. Nonetheless its still quality rosters, although most faces are really generic and there arent portraits of players.

Well, I finally got the sliders set that give some realistic results. The only thing I fear about them is that they might not give both the CPU and I enough HR's and doubles. I'll continue on and if they are low I will bump up the power sliders for both of us.

My first game back went great for me. Here's the line...

                  Team--R-H-E
                  Reds--3-9-0
                  Mets--1-7-1

Aaron Harang pitched a gem, going 8 and 1/3 giving up only one run which came in the 9th. There may be a competition for 2nd base on my team. I recently promoted Mark Bellhorn and sent down Jeff Bannon. I immediately made Bellhorn my starting 2nd baseman because he was doing good in AAA and Brandon Phillips was hitting .204. Phillips was starting as SS today because Keppinger, who is hitting .347, needed a day off. Bellhorn and Phillips both went 2-4 and they both knocked in a run.

In other news, the Rangers placed Edinson Volquez on the trading block today. I immediately thought about seeing if they'd do the Hamilton for Volquez deal. I'm not sure if I want to yet, but I'm definitely considering it. They both have 4* potential, and Volquez is doing pretty well with a 3.41 ERA. Hamilton is currently with my AAA team hitting .270 with a few dingers in about 2 weeks play there(I think). I'm not sure if I'm comfortable having my AAA OF depth being Bobby Crosby and some scrubs. That would mean I would have to most likely re-sign Guillen or go after an outfielder in the off season because I don't have a major league ready starting outfielder after Hamilton. Decisions, decisions...

Hope you have the right sliders. I use different sliders depending on the ball park. I use Baseball prospectus to determine which one I use. If I play at Coors, I up the contact, power, etc. for both the CPU and I. Conversly, I make the pitching a little bit more difficult. I reallly like this because it adds a dimension to game. As far as trading Hamilton, that is a tough call right there. On one hand, he is going to be a monster and it would mimic real life. On the other, it would make your team a bit weaker.

Well guys, got in 2 games and have played 79 full. I lost to the Pirates and the first game in the Cubs series. On the season, I am 33-46 and am continuing to slide in the standings. As of today, I am a whopping 15 games out and don't think I can mount a comback. Scott Olsen continues to perform well as he won his team leading 7th game (3 games ago) of the season. Not only that, but he actually reached the 7th inning for the 3rd start in a row so he is really starting to take the role of "ace" this year. Ryan Zimmerman had a rehab game out in A ball and went 1-4 with a 2B and 1 RBI (he also made an error). My goal is to go .500 on the season and in order to that, I need a healthy Ryan Zimmerman out there.

I still haven't found a suitable trade partner for Nick Johnson. Since Kyle Blanks is waiting in the wings, I am thinking of using Ron Belliard as a 1B until the off-season and sign a cheaper alternative for a year so Blanks can spend that time out in AAA ball. I have Chris Marrero at 1B as well, so i will most likely trade one of them when their value is high or move of of them to another position. I will most likely seek a 2B prospect for Nick Johnson since I kind of lack depth at that position. Ian Desmond hasn't been the same since i promoted him (one of my goofs of the season). He is angry, hates his contract, and is just playing awful of starting the year off red hot.

I will have FULL stats for my team, league leaders, etc. after 2 more games

                    Hope you enjoyed reading.

That's a cool idea about the sliders being affected by the ball park. About the Hamilton-Volquez deal, I'm leaning towards doing it. Volquez is major league ready now, and he can make my rotation much better. He may also take the place of Kyle Lohse if I let him leave via free agency(or Arroyo if I trade him). I tried the straight up Volquez for Hamilton and they declined it, so I may put in one of my decent pitching prospects. I'm thinking about giving them Mike Gosling, who I think will be ready to be a major league starter by next year, and he has a 3* potential.

Olsen seems like he's just cementing his spot as the Ace of you rotation for next year. A healthy Zimmerman would be nice for you, he can be a monster if healthy.

Sucks to hear about Desmond. I am having a similar situation with one of my 1b/RF prospects. He was on fire at A ball, promoted him to AA and started him. He's been hitting .136 with 1 HR. I'll probably demote him soon.

Download the file PS2-KG71.7z and save it to one of your folders(where you will remember it). You need to have WinRAR to be able to extract the files. If you do not have it, I'm pretty sure there are free trials of it on the internet, you can probably google it and see because I'm not sure where the free trials are. After that, you have to right click the file(that's in your folder) and click Extract files and then once that is done a new folder will be there(named PS2-KG71) with the saves you need in it. You only need one of them, and if you have an action replay max I think it's the .max file. After that you just copy the file to your usb stick and then put your usb stick into the ps2(you have to have the disk in there also), and then I think when you start up the system you will be taken to a screen where you can copy the save file to one of your ps2 memory cards.

This info may not be 100% correct, but I think it's mostly accurate because I had a friend who would get updated rosters for mvp on the ps2 and this is how he did it.

Hope that helps, if you need more clarification I may be able to help.

Alright guys, I just finished game 81! I was able to take 1 from the Cubbies and am now 34-47 on the season. My goodness, I am on pace to lose 94 games. I lost the second game by the score of 7-1 and beat them to salvage the last game of the series 9-2 behind John Lannan and company. Well, here we go ladies and gentlemen.
