I'm counting down the hours, days, months & years!
Hopefully in 2013 we can see EA Sports returning to pwning the baseball community with a new MVP Baseball game.Tags: None -

I agree 100%. I am still playing 05 right now. If 05 had waivers, options, rule 5, etc. like all star baseball this game would have never left peoples systems. I can't wait! I dont think 2ksports will renew their contract. They have been behind the show (in sales) despite having the exclusive rights.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!! -

Actually I think it is MLB that has the right to renew or not renew with 2K. My hope is that they decide not to renew and then either give both EA and 2K a new license or just go with EA. I am sure Peter Moore is just dying to get his hands on the MLB license.Facebook - http://www.facebook.com/GMBBrian

As much as I'd like for it to happen....it's not like they are going to put out a great game the first year.Fan of....

True. Might just try to get back to basic, but honestly the MVP05/06 engine was nearly perfect. I would love to see the MVP06 NCAA fielding, batting and rockin' pitching in the MLB series when it comes back, that alone will be big improvements.
MVP05 IMO was so ahead of it's time, it's hard for MLB 2K & SECA to make a perfect baseball game like MVP did.Comment

You're right. It'll be all new for the EA crew, if they get the MLB license back. They haven't developed a baseball game for the next generation of consoles. It'll be very different. But I think they would be wise to build off the old MVP system because, as you can tell, it was a hit amongst its fans. It won't feel the same, but it would be smart to make it feel similar.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

It would be sweet if EA was putting 5 years of development into just one game, for MVP Baseball 2013. Atleast they cannot tell us that they didn't have enough time to get all the features into the game that they wanted to.Colorado Avalanche (NHL)
Denver Nuggets (NBA)
Green Bay Packers (NFL)
Iowa Hawkeyes (NCAA)
Minnesota Twins (MLB)
Tennessee Volunteers (NCAA)Comment

I pretty much agree. Although I thought MVP 2003 was a really good game. And that was MVP's first year. All it needed was some minor tweaks to get to the greatness that was 05. Who knows. Maybe EA just got lucky with that series...Comment

I've been counting the days since they made the announcement that ea lost the license. I've had others but none are the same as My first true flame. I played the show since 06 and was generally happy but this years just didn't cut it for me.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
