For guys who haven't visited mvpmods in a while, there is a ton of new modding going on and talk of possibly compiling them into a new Total Mod like the last one in 08. Check it out.

i wish i cared about my desktop/laptop enough to upgrade it a bit so i could play this. with this and NHL 2004 i would be in gaming heaven. i still play NHL 2004 but the graphics look so bad lol, when i add the graphic hd upgrade, it looks great, but runs at a snails pace on my computer.. bah

Are you talking a complete 2012 mod ? If so, what do you think the chances are that it'll actually be completed ? 50 / 50 ?

Well...whether you have to piece things in yourself or there is a convenient package, it will give the game a pretty fresh look, which is amazing considering its' age.

My brother and I still play the PC version online and we have some torrid battles. We have figured out how to play with classic pitching (i.e., no pitch meter -- by feel only; and no missed pitch ball markers). He just came back tonight and wrecked my 3-1 (SD @ COL) lead I grabbed by bringing in Quentin who got a PH solo shot to opposite field. He gained a sac fly in the B8th, then showed the Padres why they ended up with Huston Street. He took street to the cleaners, tying the game and then walking off with Fowler'shot to LCF for a 5-3 win.

The game is certainly not perfect, but when you can lose in a game and still enjoy it...that's the mark of a great sports game.
