Re: We Console Players Are Pretty Much Screwed

Can someone explain to me exactly what GomerPyle's patch does for the PS2? I understand lefty home runs and steals are addressed. Am I to understand that a few camera angles are changed as well? And this will work on my regular "unmodded" PS2??

sorry it took me so long to reply, i had to drive to work,
The no sound fix supposedly turns the sound of the umpire down so he doesnt say BALL!! really loud, also the batter swing replay is removed, only thing tho im not really fond of the fisheye camera, would you happen to know how to edit the datafile?? i would like to create my own custom camera, or use the one from the other datafile i haave, it was sweet, right behind the catcher you could see the catchers top portion of hsi back... and the fielding camera was also changed..

Thanks for the explination. I, myself have no idea how to edit the file. I remember seeing a post where someone was entering cordinates for the placement of the camera, but I have no idea where in the data file that would fall...

Yes it will work on your unmodded PS2 and there are not any camera mods or anything else you would need a modded ps2 for that, the roster file that I have converted has alot of things that make the game better though like new pictures and in game 3d models, for stadiums and all that though its almost impossible to do on the PS2 because of the various checks (that only happen on the Ps2)

a guy stated earlier that its so easy "you can just burn a dvd but for the PS2" I wish it were that easy it takes lots of work thats not the case you also need to address the TOC and the LBA checks!
thats the reason why I put out the ps2 conversions later then I do the Xbox ones!

You basically get the same advantages as the PC and Xbox!

Also to answer reddgogs question I feel ya man I cannot use the camera Mods either because I have a High Definition TV and I play MVP in HD which is a 16:9 format, the guy who made these didnt test in 16:9 format so everything looks kinda off but if you have a tube tv or an analog tv its cool!
